2009 P1 Registration Exercise for 2010 In-Take

Should we tolerate or shouldn't we tolerate these cheating of address so that their kids get balloted in while your kid get balloted out (and have to go to far away school and spend hours on the road everyday and also that they may not perform as well because they ended up in lousy schools)? (because those cheating of address always happen in good schools). I suppose it is up to individual. If those cheats are doing so for their kids, why should the other kids be penalized because their parents prefer to keep quiet (even though they know about these parents who are cheating and choose not to report to MOE) and let their own kids suffer as a result? If your kids know about these, will they think that you value their kids more than themselves?

Wow, I didn't know this is so serious, becoming a police case. What was the previous case like, was the person fined only or put in jail??!! Really donno what to do. Plus this person is my competitor (if u know what i mean)!! On one hand, I feel strongly against dishonesty, on the other, this police case business is not a trivial consequence. :? :?

No, we should not tolerate. Singapore needs more of a whistle-blowing culture if it wishes to progress as a society. tankee is right, don't just wait for the authorities to take steps, be an active contributor/watchdog.Should we tolerate or shouldn't we tolerate these cheating of address so that their kids get balloted in while your kid get balloted out

Off course I will go to the school forum, to get more knowledge and also to give my 2 cent worth for next years pri 1 registeration. Have to do my part now. -

curiousl-ks:
I'm wondering why the application rate is so low for the school too.. i was from MCS! hheheh.. but I don't have a gal... or else I'll send her to MCS and I dun have to stress abt balloting for a place in SAJS now!Any reason why no one is considering Marymount Convent - since it's also a girl school and looks quite decent to me... could be a good alternative for those not able to get into SCGS and SMPS...
From past years registration history, pretty good chances. There were also lower no of registration for the earlier phase, leaving more places for grabs at Pase 2C...

[quote=\"mum2es\"]SAJS - Registration status as at 30 July 09
Number of vacancies : 79
Total applicants: 93
within 1km : 63
1 - 2 km : 30
*sighs* this means I'll have to ballot for one of the 16 places. *keeps fingers crossed*
