Hi, there's another free service for checking on distance.. maybe can compare both..

      http://www.streetdb.com/

Key in the Postal code on the search menu bar, when the Results is shown, click on the link, and when the map is launch, on the Right bottom of map, under Amenity Search, click under Education Institution. and the distance between the school and home will be shown.

      Hope it helps.

OTOH, I personally don't advocate making a property purchase based on school proximity either.

Well, never thought I had to consider doing that previously too. Now, for the sake of the child, both in terms of sure/better chance to get into the school and subsequently ease of travelling to school, will have to move 😓

MOE takes serious action to those who use false address. Do take own children in consideration as children may be out of school should they make random checks.

This is to protect those who are really living in that area of <1km. Not many have financial ability to rent units just to use address for P1 registration. It will take away a place for children who geniunely live near school.

          Thanks!

hi you can use this as a guide

                http://www.tzeyong.com/primary-school-within-1-2-km.php?latValue=1.3037947522567&longValue=103.84612966012&label=ST. MARGARET`S PRIMARY SCHOOL

from what i have seen, you may be just at the borderline or just beyond 2km. So best is that you check with the official source, which is either SLA http://www.inlis.gov.sg/Layout/HomePage.aspx and / or the school.

If you have made this statement after checking with the school or using the SLA's e-service, then I guess there is nothing you can do about it. Otherwise, you may wish to check with one of the above official source as 'surprises' may occur sometimes. I would prefer SLA over the school as not sure how the school determine the borderline cases.

                      aaadaddy is right.

pq050603 do check with the official sources. The map is only a guide.
