Comparing Chinese Enrichment (Primary/Preschool)

Actually should start early. My son is 2.5yo & I've started him on chinese enrichment already (we hardly speak mandarin at home). Can see positive improvements. He's more willing to speak mandarin now & his pronunciation of words are clearer after the weekly exposure to a pure mandarin environment. We also practice with him at home (using the CDs from Beijing Language School) & even my maid is picking up mandarin with him!
Ha.ha quite tight up during the weekends.Most likely would let my DD try when in 2010. Now just age 3, don't know really should start chinese enrichement now. -
I think exposing kids into some Chinese enrichment class early (but not too academic, maybe Speech and Drama or some fun learning) is good. I kindof regretted not sending my DS1 to such enrichment classes early. I am starting to get worry since he is going P1 next year.

I was looking for speech & drama classes. They either did not accept 2.5yo kids or were too expensive for me ($300+ per mth!).
So I settled for Beijing Language School since it was near my place, affordable & provided a pure mandarin environment. The lessons are interesting too, with activities, flashcards, songs & dance (my son loves singing & dancing). -

does anyone know if the yuquan branch at singapore badminton hall at guillemard rd is as good as the middle road one? im thinking of sending my son (K1) for idioms and zijing, which seems quite expensive.
Any parent thinks it is worth the money? -

Most chinese enrichment centre accept only at age 4, I guess is better for me to some research before commit on the program. -
I finally settled for Tien Hsia, since many good reviews and my DS1 seems to enjoy his trial lesson. Hope good enough to prepare him for P1 next year.

Most have programs for 3yo. And they'll accept younger children if the child is independant and able to follow the lesson. Like they accepted my 2.5yo son because he has attended lessons on his own before and is able to attend the lesson without us. -

My child in Oct 09 then is officially 3 year old. Now is like 2+. Presently child is attending Pre-Nursery I guess have some form of exposure of Chinese in the kindergarten. Most likely would try to start in Jan 2010 so have to do some form of research of various Chinese enrichment centre.titank:

You could google for Tien Hsia and should be able to find the website easily, otherwise it is http://www.tienhsia.com
