You are most welcome! 😄 I hope the information was useful.
I have just signed on the dotted line with Alliance Movers. (Hope this is the right decision. :xedfingers: ) Will let you know how the actual move turns out. Do let me know how your move goes too, and if you had good experience with your choice of mover/storage company/logistics company. This information may be useful in case we move again in the future (I certainly hope not, but never know...)

          Hi JGmum & annapadik,

I jus had my 1st move on last sat. Super shacked out. I went along with wat sil recommended… Raffles movers… Very gd deal cos they gave super big face to my sil so I can’t afford to reject. Overall experience they r gd n efficient…can’t stop feeling pity for them to move the heavy items…furthermore this move at my parents’ place ve no lift on their flr…imagine them carry fridge n queen mattress etc etc from 11th to 12th flr…ke lian!..anyway really can’t wait for my 2nd move to come soon. I wan it be over soon…

Just completed move by Alliance Movers. Overall, very efficient, and packing/protection was good. And they could disassemble my storage bed without damaging it (which is quite a feat to me). The only grouse I have is that their movers stood my upright piano in the vertical way (on its side) in their moving truck. I had to tell them not to do that as this may damage the sensitive piano internal parts. The supervisor apologised many times and told the person to place it in the upright position right away. He clarified that it was usually temporary. I had to remind him to store the piano in the upright position in their warehouse. :xedfingers: Piano won't be damaged when I move it out of their warehouse in 3 months' time.

Except for the \"piano incident\", I must say that their service is really excellent. The entire move took less than 1 hour as they sent many people (I think a team of almost 10 people) for the move. And they wrapped every piece of furniture, even mattresses, with corrugated cardboard and plastic wrap. Nothing was moved \"bare\".

Thanks car118 and Annpadik for sharing your experiences, and your contacts. I will certainly check out Raffles Movers and Movers in Singapore for my next move. 😄
