because there are a number of parents i know who live around the school waiting to see what happens tomorrow and will only register tomorrow.

What is the difference with registering today or tomorrow ? If they are within 1km of MGS, they are probably > 2km for RGPS or NYPS. PHPS' situation will be no different from MGS :scratchhead:

so that they can bypass the hassle of unnecessary withdrawal procedures, and then to re-apply for next school all over again.

Registered for HPPS this morning. I am staying >2KM. I prefer NHPS more for much nearer to home but the opptunity is so slim…

Agree with u...maybe they intend to try between PHPS and MGS.

for MGS, just wonder for those staying more than 2km, why did they register this morning? very likely the school will get them to withdraw their application by tommorrow morning....

i feel those staying > 2 km no need to register so fast.
look at how many vacancies got filled up in < 1 km, and between 1 to 2 km first, then decide.

Within 1km - 15
1-2km - 4
More than 2km - 6

unfortunately, these are typically those with methodist church associations…they actually have no where else to register. They are probably 2km away from every other methodist school e.g. fairfield, plmgs, geylang etc.

yup - garden vista, sherwood towers, king albert park, sterling, blossomvale etc and some more coming up...Jardin, Floridian etc
