It fluctuates from year to year. For 2010 it was 211.

211 is not difficult for affliated St Nick girls to get in.

no wonder P1 registration, so many parents clamoring, competing so hard to get their daughters into such a good school. Worth it ! šŸ˜‚

The COP for affiliated schools is very favorable in most schools. One exception being NYGH's COP of 250.

St Nics should be raising COP for affiliated very soon - probably this year onwards, bc of their IP status from next year. Similar to CHS, who has already raised to 230 from last year and is probably going to increase it further.

So it wasn't raised much further from previous years. SNGS' COP is determined by the number of affiliated students it is prepared to accept rather than a fixed COP, which explains its fluctuation over the years. In 2008, the COP was 221.

In any case, SNGS is offering dual track with O levels for most of the girls and IP for the top classes. I'm sure they'll want to welcome back as many deserving primary school affiliates as they can.

Well, the 225 was not a fixed COP for CHS in previous years. Only last year's 230 was fixed. But I think the principal just said at the start of this year that they intend to fix it at 240+ for affiliated eventually. He said bc of IP.

But yes, SNGS' demand/supply COP was always 210+++, so when my daughter used to be there, I was not very worried about her not making it back to SNGS secondary. She got a reasonable score with little stress in p6 year. Being in SNGS secondary was good for her too - she actually excelled after a turbulent sec1/2 year.

I thought I heard principal saying they would be fixing a higher affiliate COP soon.

240+ for CHS is a big jump. I hope they're not thinking of that high a COP for SNGS and SCGS. There'll be very little difference between the COP for affiliates and non-affiliates.
