I had upstairs neighbours once who always appeared to be dragging furniture around. Why would anyone need to drag furniture around constantly at night? When approached they said they weren't dragging furniture. -.-

yes, when asked always say they didnt. then will stay saying we heard \"things\" :skeptical:

        :gloomy:

For furniture dragging.. sometimes can't be helped lah..

For my case, the chair is made of solid wood, quite heavy. Sometimes during meal time, may need to shift a little.. I hate the sound also.. but quite difficult to lift the whole thing, so can't avoid a bit of dragging. But usually just a few seconds.. and meal time only.

Would seriously consider lighter chairs.. or at least those with smooth surface wouldn't rub the floor one..

hmm.. anyone got good suggestions/recommendations? šŸ˜‰
You can stick a cushioning material to the bottom of the leg so the chair doesn't make a loud sound when it's dragged on the floor. You can buy them from DIY stores.

I also have the same experience at my previous flat! It is always the crystal clear sound of few marbles dropping onto floor at wee hours. :scratchhead:

That's another common sound people tend to hear. I wonder why.
