LOL... cos I read somewhere here that a particular school did not allow kids during orientation???!!! Maybe I read wrongly
Does HIPS allowed parents to be around the first few days of school? Hong Wen does not allow at all, even on day 1. -
Ririan:
Yes!! Bring your kid along on that day. The parent will be in the hall for briefing and your kid will go for a \"tour\" around the school by the teacher and later join in the present 2011 P1 student in the class. They will have some computer game, story telling etc in the class. Don't worry, they will be well taken care of by the 2011 P1 student. :hugs:July:

Previous year, they don't allowed parent into the school for the first few days, but I heard from my friend that last year, they open the gate to allow the parent in for the 1st 3 days. Don't know this year got any changes or not. :xedfingers:
For many years, for the 1st month of the school open, they allowed parent to wait at the canteen when fetching the kids in the evening. So that the parent is able to brief their kids where to wait for them after school (eg. Gate A or Gate B).
Hope your kid will enjoy studying in Holy Innocent. Welcome to our big family.

MrsSeah: thks for the information! gate A is the main entrance of the school, right?? do u know whether we'll b inform about which class our child will b in during their official letters or do we've to wait for 1st day of sch to know which class they'll b in? -
Just found out yesterday that a colleague's son is also going to holy innocents next year
she was a PV and thus her son got in via phase 2B. She has very good impression of the school and I am so very assured after hearing from her

Congrats those who get thru ballot. Anyone can share about the principal. How is she? Did I read from here that she is transfer frm nativity Pri school
-
that was what I heard too. If I have a chance to speak with my colleague again, I will try to find out from her since she PVed and probably had some interactions with the principal. CHIJ Nativity is apparently one of the better IJ around? I read it somewhere in KSP forum.
Anyone here put their P1/P2 kids in the before-school care? which one is better? Morning Star or Graceland?
I am still considering if I should put them in before-school care, worry they will not have enough sleep since they need to leave home by 8 plus with me, and wont be back home until after 6.30pm
