Woohoo! DD went for trial on Sun and no tears!
I have signed her up for the Foundation class but her teacher commented that she's quiet. I hope she ends up soon. Otherwise, not sure how is she going to pass whatever assessment to move on to the next level.
Hihi, mambobb.

Hi HappyAvonHi vfong1, my girl was in PPS since she joined in September last yr when she was in K1. Definitely, I can see a great improvement especially in her grammar and writing skills...Recently, she even constructed a compo of >150 words based on 9 helping words....I feel that it really helps her to understand about not only writing a sentence but a better sentence...
The children are exposed to oral reading, comprehension (MCQ and writing), cloze grammar, vocab cloze, word order, spelling and comprehension test. I would say it definitely helps the child to prepare for P1...However, Im not too sure about their success programme for the primary school students..
Is PPS their Preparation class for Primary school?
Usually how many terms must a child be in this PPS before promoting to the next level? -

Hi HighFive, yes PFS is preparation for P1. After that they will be going to their success programme for the primary school student. like success 1 for pri 1 and success 2 for pri 2 and so on.

From what I understand, PFS is meant for K1 and K2 students. Like my girl who was taking their PFS since Sept last year, we continue this year since the materials are different. From what I understand previuosly, the school had 2 different set of PFS material and they are rotated every year so that those kids doing PFS in K1 will not get the same material in K2 when they continue with PFS.
I think they do not allow K2 to take sucess one programme. You can check with the school if there are any changes.

Hi HappyAvon
Thanks for your sharing.
BTW, which centre is your DD in ? Did she have the same teacher thruβ out her k1 and K2? -
I tink is PFS=Prepare for school, and this is for preschooler.
No terms, if yours is already in primary school but still in PFS, then can be promote to success anytime.
Note: success are only meant for primary school children, so I believe, those preschooler canβt attend success level yet. -
