          Hi HIPS mummies,

I’m newbie to HIPS network. My DR got in under P2C ballot too and we can have chance meeting on 16 Nov @ 2pm. ;o) Wondering can any mummies help me in the following questions?

          1) I read from a thread that one mummy quoted that "unclear on timetable and not sure which book to bring along on the school day" Has this been settled this Year?

          2) Any idea what is the charge for the school bus?

          3) Does the school provide remedial class for weak student on a weekly basis on adhoc basis?

          4) Do we need to purchase the shoe and socks from the school as well?

          5) Any recommendation on student care? I saw Morning Star and Graceland was quoted but I’m not too sure how good the centre are…

Can anyone up there do share, please.

                  Hi andrewen,
Welcome to the HIPS family, my DS is P1 this yr (2011).
Q1 - trs gave letter to inform parents wat bks they bring on first 3 days and according to time table once confirmed
Q2 - bus fare is according to distance, you can check w Min Yang the bus operator when confirmation slip is given during orientation.
Q3 - yes there's remedial lesson on weekly basis but not so soon.
Q4 - not that i know of, cos no mention of change in shoes and socks (all information including booklist was given during orientation).
                  Q5 - no input sorry 🙂

                  Hope my answers helped!

During the day of the balloting, we were informed that we have to come by on the third week of October to do something like? Is that still on?

                      1. They are follow timetable and bring whatever stated will do.
                      2. HIPS do provide remedial class for weak student. for P1 and P2 will be on weekday before afternoon class hrs. P3-P6 after class.
                      3. White shoe and socks can purchase outside.
                      4. My son currently @ Morning Star, he is happy. Every Mon, Wed, Fri about 8.30am - 9.00am outdoor, 9.00am study time. 11.00am shower. 11.30 lunch and staff will send kids to school. U can enquiry with them. Morning Star has a set of time table for everyday.
                      Hope is helpful to u

thanks Chiefestfruit for your sharing on morning star.

Does your son feel tired starting his day early at Morning Star and then go on to HIPS in the afternoon? any napping time?
