Has anyone been to Taichung and visited the lavender Park, Kingbox? what other places worth visiting in Taichung? Is it difficult to go to Yamay Discovery World?
If one has to choose between Hualien and Taichung, what would be a better choice? -
I think they are trying to look sophisticated. But at least the rooms look bright and clean.
We have an issue here as a friend will be joining us. Her cost is relatively high as she's taking a room by herself. Eg for a family room, our cost is around NT3000-3500 but for her double room, it is around NT2000-2500. So her expense is significantly higher. So when I look for hotels, I have to be mindful of her costs, thus we are quite restricted. Thanks for sharing anyway.caroline3sg:

I see the website of City Inn, I don't like their funny designs.
I booked YMCA superior (queen size) bed. NT2400/night, no BF. -
The reason we're going Hualien is because I want to visit Taroko Gorge and Ocean Park.

Hi Blessed Homemaker
I am also looking at Furure Star as well for our trip in Nov. Did you make reservation via phone? Would you have any idea if they do have a safe in the room as well?
Thanks in adv! -

Yes, I called them up to make a reservation. I don't think they have a safe in the room, I didn't ask though.

I've enquired with them. They are daily rental apartments. But do note that these daily rental apartments may not be legal.
Basically, it's serviced apartment (some not serviced daily) in a residential building or above some shops. Many good reviews if you google but my Taiwanese friend says better to stay in a hotel as we do not know the background of the residentials staying in the building.CharleneX:
