The other two teams in the finals are RI (the defending champion) and NUSHS.

The point isn't that we are judging students by 1-2 competitions. It is just exciting to watch and enjoy the competitions. I hope people isn't too work up. It is well known to people in the know that NUSHS has all the best maths and science students through its selection process. We are thinking that it is rivaling RI soon.
I agree that it's fun to watch the competitions and we shouldn't judge the students based on one or two competitons.

I don't think it's correct to say that NUSHS has ALL the best math and science students. Undoubtedly, their students are all very strong in math and science but not all the top math and science students choose to go NUSHS. Some prefer RI/RGS, HCI/NYGH.

I don't think so. Not ALL good maths and science students are in NUSHS. A lot of them are still in RI and HCI. Unlike RI and HCI students, NUSHS students concentrate more on maths and science and have more time to prepare when it comes to competitions. I can see them growing stronger in this area in years to come. BUT I will not say that ALL the good maths and science students are in NUSHS. RI and HCI students are more balance in all subjects.
I have to admit that I am abit exaggerated. Actually, I intended to say NUSH and RI have most of the best students in maths and science but we see that more are shifting to NUSH with time. I was in a rush and didn't choose the words properly.

Is the National Science Challenge still on air in the TV? I miss out this and would like my DD to watch if it is still on air.

If not, when will be the next season?

Top Performers in 2008 - O level Exams

                      - Anderson Sec
                      - Bukit Panjang Government High
                      - Catholic High
                      - Cedar Girls' Sec
                      - CHIJ St Nicholas Girls'
                      - Crescent Girls'
                      - MGS Sec
                      - Nan Hua High
                      - Singapore Chinese Girls'
                      - SJI
                      - Tanjong Katong Girls'
                      - Victoria

I thought 10 top should also include RI, RGS, River Valley, Nanyang, HCI, ACS etc? At least if kid cannot go to top 10, just want to know what other good secondary schools that can go. That is why I want to know the top 20 secondary school in singapore.

Anyway , thank you for providing the above list. I didnt know Cedar,Bukit Panjang Government High, Anderson, Victoria, Tanjong Katong are good secondary too?

BTW, MGS and SJI stands for? :?

But of cos. Cedar has all along been Top 15 ... there were a few years we were even positioned no.9 ... that was when i was still studying.
I would say besides academic achievements, Cedar shines in Gymnastics, Military Band, NCC & Track & Field too...
Cedar thought us nothing less than team spirit, camaraderie-hood, and of course Honesty, Perseverance, Courtesy (school's motto) and gave her students nothing less than warmth, joy, fond memories and a great platform to realise our potential 🙂

But this is list of 12.

Is there a list that list them in order from 1 to 10 ?

                        Thanks
