cupcake divinity have one on decorating cupcakes from time to time. Perhaps you can check with them if they have backing ones as well.

We had a wonderful time baking cupcakes on Sunday. It is really easy to bake cupcakes ! The cupcakes were made and decorated by my kids. We bought the ready made roses from a shop. I thought our cupcakes tasted heavenly(my own opinion lah), the trick is to use good butter. I used Emborg butter bought from NTUC Fairprice. It is also very important to take out the cupcakes once they are baked, do not over bake.

We have never attended any baking classes. My recipes are on page 1 of this thread. It is super easy to follow.

Baking an excellent way of bonding with the kids, and a great way to de-stress for me.

I just baked a batch of cookies with my kids last night. The cookies are the most delicious cookies that I have ever tasted hahaha My kids did all the measuring and they had a good time rolling the dough and cutting out the cookies.

I use the same old recipe in my blog in 2008 :
                        http://tamarindvillage.blogspot.com/2008/02/cookies.html

The photo displayed above is from 2008. The cookies we made last night are the same, but taste even better. I realized that the type of butter is very important. This time I used President unsalted French butter which gives the cookies a wonderful aroma and delicious taste. Also, we should slowly add in the flour and stop when we get the correct consistency, not just throw in 3 cups of flour.

The best thing about baking our own cookies, is that we can taste it fresh out of the oven ! The cookies we buy off the shelf cannot compare with these. And of course we don't have to worry about the ingredients. My kids love the cookies and cannot stop eating them πŸ˜‰
