      Hi,

Anyone knows how the TAS vocab book looks like? I went to the Bookfest on Monday but could not locate it.

        hi LLTan,

Towards the entrance side of the hall, there is a big signboard for e-assessment - this is near to the cashier side (NOT the one near the stage, it’s at the other end of the hall). There is a tiny table set up for TAS. The creative writing book is black in colour, and the vocab is white with a picture of a tree (made up of words). Both the books have glossy covers. It’s near the shelves of preschool materials also. Nearby you can also see the booth for Emitasia (magazines subscription, there are always people around).

Sorry if the directions are not very good.

My 2 P1 and P6 DDs will be joining TAS. Do they teach vocab using the vocab book? Do they have a grammar or synthesis book as well?

            hihi,

I believe they will be using the vocab book for the mid/upper primary going forward. They do have a grammar book but that’s only sold to TAS students. BTW, spelling lists come from their spelling book.

I have not had the chance to buy the vocabulary book. Anyone bought it yet? How is it?

                      Hi I have a P1 child fr 2012.

I am looking for English and Math tuition
Can anyone share which is a better branch for TAS?
Do they use same materials for all their branches and how about teachers?

As for Math, I am thinking, Andrew Er, Fabian Ng, TLL and Concept Math. Anyone can share? Or if there is a ctr that offers both Eng and Math - then can save travelling time

                      Many tks in adv

It is good! Before every vocab ex, there will be notes on the words. In the notes, the children can learn the meaning, the mnemonics (how to remember it) and the usage of the word. I find this very useful and the words they use are rather close in meaning so it helps the children to differentiate between synonyms.
