I too understand that sometimes disagreements r inevitable, everybody is just here to share n learn from one another. :salute: especially to those parents whose kids r no more in primary but still willing to contribute their knowledge here, thanks all for the time n effort. :lovesite: -

Pen88n:
Why only GEPpers who should have this priority - just becos they are identified at P3 level? In this case, all parents should go drill their kids for GEP (afterall no need to worry about T-score or sec sch thereafter). Your same arguement of later maturity can be applied to mainstreamers as well.....so RI has to open more classes to cater to whole of Singapore kids??Big Octopus:
Why can't RI open up more classes and accept all GEPpers instead ? I know there are some with GEPpers with low T score, but that is not what they are look at in the first place rite ? Otherwise, no need to identify GEP rite ?
Boys generally mature later and these kids might be doing very well later on as they mature.
And why must it only be RI? Singapore has so many schools, and RI is not the only school who can groom your kid!
Come on, ε«ι»ηθ§ε°. There are lots of good schools out there. Have you consider that your GEP kid may probably fare better in a different environment as compared with the competition he will face in RI???

Please advise! I have gotten 246 for PSLE with a merit in hmt, so my total score is 248. I'm a girl and live in Jurong West. Any recommended school?
You can consider Bukit Panjang Govt School, Nan Hua, School of Science & Technology. -

If you are really keen in RGS, you can put that as 1st choice. Maybe you can get it if the COP drop.hi im a girl and this year pale result got 258. HMT got merit. Your T-score is quite high and you have quite some choices. Other than what you have mentioned, you can also consider IP schools like Dunman High, River Valley, and girls' schools like Crescent, MGS. As to how you put your choices, I suggest you look thru the school website or visit the school, evaluate their environment, philosophy, syllabus (IP vs O Level), CCAs, etc. before you make your decision. It is really a personal choice and we can only guide you with listing the choices you have. You should rank them based on your preference. -

Thank you pen88n for your clear explanation. :thankyou:benleetube:
DS got 257+2, aiming hci. With this score, do we need to appeal? Really get lost. What is the correct procedure? Please advise! Thank-you!!!!
Have you accepted any DSA offer? If not, you are eligible for S1 posting. Put HCI as your 1st choice if you want to go there. Unless you are rejected, then you need to go thru' the appeal process.
Currently, those submitting appeals are the ones with DSA offers at hand, and they find out they qualify for their preferred school and want to go there, so they submit appeal to their preferred school.
