Help me to decide should i let ds take msp as 3rd language or nothing at all ? Is it much easier compared to malay as a second language ? If i leave it to him he will surely choose not to.

I hear that MSP is easier than Malay as a second language.

I guess parents are required to be at the school for the first day. Subsequently no need right ?

Parents should be at school on registration day but there's no need for them to be in school on the first day. Unless there's a special programme requiring parent presence like CCA Orientation day or something.

          Dear experienced members and parents,

What are the chances for a girl with 260 applying for RGS?

I doubt anyone here has the magic ball to advise u. It really depends on who is ahead of u in the queue and u will never know until u join the Q. šŸ˜„

I think your chances are fair. I wouldn't stick my neck out to say she would definitely get in because last year's COP was 260 and she's right at the borderline. I expect COPs for the top schools to remain about the same this year as last year. Anyway if you put RGS as first choice and she doesn't get in, she'll definitely get into her second choice, provided it's not NYGH. šŸ˜‰

Hi, am wondering if there is a need to take leave on both days, that is 21 Dec and 22 Dec. There are a few queries, hope someone can help to address:

                a) what time will parents receive SMS on posting? This translates to how much time we have to handle and follow up on appeal if need be
                b) how long is the sec 1 reporting on 22 dec? what are the dear children required to do at the new school?

The above answers will help parents to factor in how much time we have for appeal should the need arises.

                Thanks.

Qn b is critical as it means Typical

To appeal takes no more than 10 minutes. Just fill in the form and submit. If the principal is around, go speak to him/her if you like.

A foolish question: who know the percentage of each score slot?eg: >270, 260-270, 250-260, etc
