thankyou so much for all the hearty congrats, your warmth is gonna put me to tears..... I'm so glad to have friends who can be on the P1 route together with me here....special thanks too to CKS for setting up this website & this PNG thread ..I had been quite lost looking around for P1 info as I've been just up to my neck at work during the day & remote working during de nite until i chanced upon this site which has since turned my school gathering info life around... 😎

thankyou to everyone who has shared their hearts and their lives...the experience here has been such a blessing in my life...it shows that beyond the world of global financial turmoil & office culture clashes, there are people who truly care enough to share & help each other in the path of life which we all journey on...i need to give thanks with a grateful heart... :celebrate:

Congrats. I can sense how unwilling you are to have your child enrol into Keming. Your wish have come true. 😄

thanks Namie for your well wishes too. However, it wasn’t me whose kid is in Keming, it’s Little_Princesses_LnK i think …no worries about the mix-up - there’s just a lot of activity going-on here at KSP website during the P1 registration period…

 Realised it after I posted.

Anyway, as an alumni of St. Margaret's, hope your daughter will enjoy the school. And oh, my brother is an alumni of Keming and to him, he finds Keming a better school cos his classmates and him have good careers now.

I seem to have misplaced the confirmation note from St Margaret's on my DD's successful registration.

Can any mum tell me what time is the orientation that is happening on 13 Nov?

              Thanks

No need to worry, think somewhere next month, you will receive an orientation packages. They will also tell you which class your dd in.

              Hi Doraemo,

              What's in the orientation package?

                Hi jacsplace

Am trying to recall , the orientation package included
1.\tA tag (with name & class ) that your dd will need to put on that day
2.\tA 200 words list that she has to know how to read and spell (no worry , it will not be tested)
                3.\tForms to fill in
4.\tBooklist (they will pre pack all the required textbooks, socks, art bag etc in a big bag)
                5.\tYMCA student care
6.\tList of what to bring on first day of school
(your dd will go to the school hall first for the first week)
                7.\tParent support Group
Remember to bring $$$ and cheque book on that day for uniform, transport etc.
If no time , then uniform and PE attire can get from Bibi baba at Shaw .There’s also one form from MOE that the class teacher will give to parents to fill in on that day. Parents will go to a classroom to fill in that form.

Thanks for the details, Doraemo. Sounds like a thick package. Does the school actually post it to all the parents?

I'm so happy that Maggie finally called me up for volunteer work... 🙂 On the other hand I'm also afraid i might not be able to clock 40hrs by 31 May 2010. Haiz....I'm only able to do on Sat..

I also worry if i got my girl in this school i will have trouble with the transportation. I staying at Lavender.. Not too sure whether can school bus cm & pick her up & send her back to student care? And wat happen if she has ECA or need to stay back in home for watever reasons.. who is going to fetch her from school back to student care? how how how???

I happened to browse from this web http://www.ymca.edu.sg/web/main.aspx?ID=5599e982-3ce8-4206-9109-a81f3fbfdd8b,,&TargetPageID=
that their student care is school based... does tat means student care service is in the school itself?

Hi Yaokel, as far as I know, there is school bus pick up at 4.30pm for those girls who stay back for their CCA. As for those who are in the student care, transport is 6.30pm - pick up from school. If you want to find out more about the transport, you can actually call up the transport company (tel 62886032) to find out the pick up time fm your place to school. They will advise you base on this year timing. If you want to place your DD at the student care, you can actually call up the YMCA to get more information. It will be good if you have all the information before you clock your 40hrs PV 😉

Any St Marg's mummy/daddy who will be attending the orientation on 13 Nov? Just wondering whether we will be receiving the orienation package prior to 13/11 or we will receive them on the orientation day.

                        Hi Tri-mum

You will receive the orientation package before the orientation day as there are forms to fill in.
The school bus pick up for those who are in the student care is 6pm not 6.30pm. They can also take the 4.30pm school bus home.
My DD is currently in YMCA student care, her bus picked them at 6pm and she reaches home around 6.45pm as we are staying in the west, just in time for me to fetch the younger girl.from childcare first after work.
