      Leanne:
      Hi,

Top 80s will be allocated to the top two classes based on primary two results. They will not tell u which class.

      Hope this helps.

      Regards,
      Leanne
      Thanks Leanne.

You're right. They won't tell which classes are the top 2 classes. From the allocation list I saw, one of the top class is definitely 3A. I'm guessing the other is 3J. But I'm not really sure on this last bit.

Would gladly hear from anyone else who knows 🙂

      cheers,

        Hi Voltes5,

Just for info, even this top 80s allocated to top two class, there will be changes again.

For instance, after p3 results, there will be streaming again as to bicep, gep, or top two best mainstream class.

        Cheers,
        Leanne

Just curious...amongst the top 80s, does it mean that the top 40 goes to class X and the next 40 goes to class Y? Or do they just randomly place them between class X and Y?

            Hi,

Does anyone know the basis of how TNS allocates the P2 students to P3? It looks like the top students from each P2 class goes to P3A but what about the rest? What academic consideration is there? How do they assign the classes? How are the top students determined?

            cheers,
            voltes5
My daughter's class top 3 positions are being posted to 3A and 3J. Thus I would assume these are the top 2 classes in 2012.

I also noticed that there are 10 classes for next year’s P3 class. So, there are less than 40 students per classm 36 on average.

Yes i confirm top class is 3A cos the top student from my boys class goes there.

Does anyone know which 2 classes are the worst classes? Cos TNS has top 2 and last 2 for every year. Anyone knows?

                    My son’s class’ no.1 & 2 went to 3A and no.3 to 3J.

So is it the top 80 randomly allocated to the top 2 classes?

How about after the top 80? How are the students distributed?

                      Hello all,

Just to sum up, its only recent year, the top two classes have got the mixed of the top 80s.

I think comes to p4 onwars, each class should have about 40 kids unless its bicep and gep, the class size is smaller.

As for the bottom two class, the school din make it a distinctive difference for the worst and mixed ability two classes. The most obvious one are gep, bicep and the top two mainstream class.

                      Cheers,
                      Leanne

Thanks for the clarification. Cos some of those in my boys class who did not fare too well are all in the same class and my boy is there too. So i wonder if this year the bottom 2 classes are more distinct.

Would you know which are the classes?
