Hi hsmhi all
My girl has been complaining neck ache/pain for a while.. I brought her to Eu Yan Sang for tuina.. it was a China lady.. and she said my girl is alright, maybe some knock that causes the uncomfy.. she did massage for her but my girl still say no good.. then she said monitor for a while and if still no good, can go massage another time..
Wanted to try Dr Koh.. wonder if she is good for tuina for neck etc.. or she only does for flu/cough? anyone knows?
Thanks.
You didnt mention how old your girl is?..
Dr Koh fr econhealth is more popular in \"xiao-er-tuina\" (child massage) so if it is due to pain/injury, I m not sure if she does that.
There is another male doctor at the same clinic who specialises in tuina but i tried him before, not extremely effective.
I always hv bad neck/back/headache since young, no matter how many TCM docs/tuina i tried, it didnt realy help until i went Core Concepts.
If you are int in core concepts, i can pm u more info cos this is :offtopic: ... -

yes, i thot of trying chiropractic too.. but it's very expensive even just for consultation and without doing any checks etc..
so thought of trying the 'massage' instead... perhaps i will check out other tcm which is good for neck massage. Thanks for update

After reading the recommendation from this site yesterday, I brought my eldest (7 yr old) to see the chinese Dr at Herbal-Basic TCM Clinic at Havelock road last night. She had been having non-stop dry cough recently. It usually become worse at night. She sounds so bad although she was trying to \"normalise\" it by doing reading or drawing but I know that she is irritated by the cough. Her nose is also always itchy and I had long suspected that she has Rhinitis. Anyway, the Dr said that the cough is caused by the nose. I had been giving her chlorphenylamine (self medicate) to cure the symptoms of the running nose not knowing that the running nose is not cause by flu virus but sensitive nose. so the mucus back flow and cause irritation to her throat.
She did tuina, the nose spa and also had oral medication (3 days supply) yesterday. We need to go back to see the dr tomorrow. She didn't like the nose spa because the herbs cause her mucus to start to flow again, also the steam is irritating and she can't enjoy the video. She also didn't like the chinese medicine (powder that has to be dissolved in a little water) because it's bitter. We add some honey so that it's easier for her to swallow. The dr said that the treatment will cause her mucus to flow in order to treat her cough then she will want to tackle her nose.
Overall, I find the dr knowledgable but I will have to see her more times to see if the treatment is effective. We spent $63 yesterday. Consultation (applicable 1st time only)+tuina+nose spa+medication. -
drickymummy,
thanks for sharing on Dr Wong.
Dear interested mummies,
Just an update on my girl visiting Herbal Basic. She saw Chen yi shi for the 4th time on Sunday and supposed to go for further treatment 3 times this week. We also queried about the package which will cost about $1400 for 3 months. We will get the nose spa machine and the herbal mix to steam for her 2 times a day. The package is actually cheaper in the long run but we are not very sure how effective if this treatment. After talking to my SIL whose son has been seeing a dr in EYS at Bt Batok, we decided to try EYS before deciding if we should cont to go Herbal.
Any idea if Foo Shern Fatt yi shi or Qi Xiao Yan yi shi at EYS is better? -

Don't mind please share your experience at EYS, would like to know how EYS treat your girl's rhinitis, is it with oral medication or using external therapy? and how's their charges like?
Thanks for sharing. -

We bought my girl to EYS before CNY and she had this powder form of medication for 7 days (2 x a day). I think the dr was rushing. I didn't even get to finish telling her my daughter symptoms and all but I must say that her cough (which was due to her rhinitis) improved a little. Her nose is no longer itchy and she no longer made those funny faces to relief her itch. The dr said that she needs to go back to adjust her health because she looks kind of yellowish. However, because she is not longer coughing or having very bad nose prob, we didn't bring her back till 2 weeks ago. Again she was given some powder medication for 7 days (2 x a day). I also told the dr about her eczema and so the powder includes medication to improve her cough, running nose and also eczema. I didn't hear her complain about her skin itch which is honestly very surprising for me. I think EYS medication is working on her. it cost close to S$50 the 2nd time we visit. I can't remember the break down. I will look at the receipt and update you. -
Do all the EYS branches specialise in children??

Can I check if Dr Wong is good in treating asthma for kids? Any idea?
Thanks!!! -
I also brought my child to 727 Havelock Road clinic. It seemed to be quite useful. Any adults else also try the treatment of nose spa there? How do U find the treatment and is it worthwhile to take up the package?

Hi iLoveChubby,
Hi fatmommy!fatmommy:
Hi iLoveChubby,
Do I hav to made appt b4 going there and can request to see Dr.Koh is it? Exp or not, roughly how much is the medical fee? Can you give me the full address and phone no.?
The tel no is 66590217. Bishan St 11 Blk 152.
Website : http://www.econhealthcare.com/achievements.html (but bishan branch is not updated yet)
You must call to make appt. Dr Koh is only there on selected timings on Tue, Fri and Sat - she is at other clinics under Econhealth on other days.
I usu pay abt $60-$80, incl consultancy fee, tuina and medicine (large bulk of it is the medicine $).
Thanks for giving this contact. I have called and made an appointment to see Dr Koh for my son.
regards,
Xioahu.
