Augmum:

that 's why distance fr school is a Major consideration when choosing a sec school,
Esp those who needs to take public transport, cant even have the opportunity to sit down and rest during the journey home.
Parents with kids in IP sec schs would know how Terribly tired these kids are after a day in sch.
..plus they still need to walk at least 15 mins from the school to the nearest MRT station.. :scared:

The pupils can take bus 158 to aljunied mrt where the bus stop
is conveniently located juz outside DHS mah.

Oh DS hasn't tried taking bus yet.. Perhaps I will get him to take 158 and see which option (walk or take bus) he prefers. Thanks Augmum for the suggestion šŸ˜„ .
U re welcome.
Heard that the pupils can see from the canteen the estimated time of arrival of the bus 158, wonder is that so ??
I only hearsay, ever ask gal abt it, she isnt aware abt it..... šŸ˜‰

Actually, I'm getting worried...DS doesn't seems to have any home work. He kept telling they get Sch work and was completed and submitted in class.

Worried bec that's the same thing he old me in p5 and ended up have lots of undone work!!!

Can some yr 1 parents share if their dd/DS are getting any home work or all done and submitted in class?

              LangMum,

My DS has some homework, not that much that he has to stay up late. I remembered I saw him doing Geography, Maths, and Science homework. Also got a piece of computing work. Not sure about the other subjects though. Maybe your DS is fast and finish all in sch?

                Hi

Just wondering if any Sec 1 pupils receive their scheme of work for English and Math? My dd received the SOW for physics but not the rest.

So far my dd seems to have Maths homework everyday. Also seen her doing Geography, Science and History, but less than Maths. Yesterday's piece was a graded piece apparently. Or perhaps she's bringing back unfinished school work? She said her friend finished quite late in the night, but she chose to go to bed early and woke up early to do it. She is still in primary school mode, very relaxed, and I have to remind her she is in IP! a couple of times. 🤷

                      Hi

Scheme of work gives a breakdown of the topics to be covered in sec 1 on a termly basis. Science department did a good job. There is a SOW for physics where students are told what topics will be covered weekly and the test date too. It is important so that the students can better prepare themselves.

                        Hi

Many IP schools have already gave out the SOW for the various subjects. Dunman seems to be rather slow.
