      Hi,

If I stay in Jurong West, near to the Sheng Siong at Jalan Bahar, what time would the school bus pick the kids up? What time would the kids reach home after school? TIA.

      Regards,
      Hi alng,
I checked with the sch bus operator. Bus will arrive at my side around 6:00am - 6:10am. I am staying near Pioneer MRT there.
Too early. So I considering to get a car and send her myself.

            Hi parents staying near CCK,

My boy is staying in school for Robotics CCA every Monday till 6pm. I wonder if any parent (or grandparent) would be keen to arrange an 'alternate week pick-up' arrangement. That is, we could take turns to pick up our our kids every Mon.

Pls pm me at sa22aplh@yahoo.com.sg so that we could discuss more. Thanks. πŸ™‚

              Hi

What are the after school care centre near NHPS? any recommendation?
My DS2 is in NASCANS Student Care in NHPS. It is within the school compound which makes it easy for the children & parents. The kids will go to the respective classrooms after school, change into NASCANS attire, have lunch at the school canteen, after which they will do their school homework or NASCANS homework in the classrooms. They will have a tea break around 4 plus & either reading or game sessions at about 5 plus while waiting for the parents to pick them up. So far, my DS2, who had just been transferred to NH, enjoys the student care. But one thing bad is the latest pickup time is 6.45 pm. I knock off at 6 pm, so by the time I am there to pick him up after work, it's quite late & not many students left.

you mean in addition to school homework, NASCANS also gives homework? There will be teachers coaching the students to complete the homework? Do they have nap and TV time?
my another concern is after the class, who will bring the kids to NASCANS for P1 or new students?

You may give your own homework too. Any undone NASCANS assessments will be returned after each year end whereby you can use to let your kid to do during the holidays on your own or to be given to other siblings or to give away. There will be teachers there although sometimes I think they don't really coach them, just supervise them to complete school homework. P1 & P2s will have their afternoon nap but TV time I'm not too sure as my DS2 is in P4. Not to worry, even the P1 kids already know how to go to their respective classes after school. The details & timetable are available at the school website.

                      Hi,

Yes. It was a big mad rush to buy uniforms and textbooks all over again. But it is a happy problem to have. πŸ™‚

                        Hi,

Thanks for the info. I manage to contact the bus operator. It is 5.55 - 6.00 am for my side. So we have been ferrying him. We have decided to fetch him to school as the bus comes too early but still considering if we want him to be on the bus home. He wants to take the bus. But if we let him take the bus home, he will be on the bus for 2-3 times a week and the bus fare will then be too pricey. 😞

I have an elder girl studying in a school along Dunearn Road. The distance is double of that to NHPS. But both buses come around the same time and NHPS bus fare is more expensive. 😞

                        Regards,
