Yes, the writing practise is indeed their spelling words. I put my boy in pro-teach(khatib) BASC. I pay a bit more on the school bus $80 to send my boy there so far my boy is enjoying the ride. Your DS in Mainspring? -
My son is in P2. I am sort of stressed out by his weekly mother tongue 默写 and 听写. On top of that, there’s a show and tell and oral on 曹操。Faint…
Kind of tough for P2. -

I saw a banner outside EPS school - a new BASC called Powerlife in Sembawang Shopping Centre but still out of my way. Hope EPS will have its in-house student care soon. How is Mainspring BASC and its program? -

Gluttonish: My worry is that my son may be totally turned off by MT. Gosh, so much time is being spent on learning the MT spelling and dictation.

SSC is out of my way too. Basically at Mainspring, there will be Homework supervision / Spelling after lunch and shower. Tea break will be the next and after tea break will be tuition session.
Out of curiosity, since ur stay at Sembawang wondering why you choose the BASC at Khatib ? due to the program there? -

I struggle a little to send my boy so far to Khatib. Looking at all the BASC in Sembawang, I only like Mainspring. But I will not be able to pick up my boy on time. Based on recommendation from friends and looking at Pro-Teach BASC program, I decided to send my boy to Pro-Teach BASC (Khatib). It is along my way back from work and the program very similar to Mainspring. Beside academic, what I like is the character building in Pro-Teach - i-values is to cultivating cornerstone values like trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, compassion and citizenship in the kids. In Sembawang, Pro-Teach BASC is in Wellington Primary but only for Wellington Students and most in-house BASC close at 6.30pm. Too early for me.SSC is out of my way too.
