Hi hi,
Could any parent share your insight? We live nearby ACS primary and would like to send DS (born 2010) there. Is it true that the school doesn't take PV, and the only way to increase our chance is to join the church? Many thanks in advance!!!
ACS does not have PV as they don't encourage. The only way to go into phase 2B is church. Also not easy as well.
and is advisable to live within 1 km (unless Moe changes the distance priority to 0.5km in the future). -
Thanks for the reply, LOLMum.
Wow! If 0.5km then not so many addresses would qualify… -
Do it for pure religion. There is interview as well. The same goes for all religion bah.
But if you are Methodist all along with baptism cert, then it is a different story altogether.
-
Oh! I see. I am Christian. Not attending church at the moment due to relocation. That’s why I want to send DS to ACS.
-
who is the interviewer ? is it
a) Barker road Methodist church Pastor interview baptised parents, before issuing them the church letter membership ?
OR
b) ACS Barker primary Princpal interview all potential P1 parents, who possess the church membership letter on hand ?
c) does it apply to ACS Junior too ? -

Answer a lah. Applies for both school.who is the interviewer ?

OR
b) ACS Barker primary Princpal interview all potential P1 parents, who possess the church membership letter ?

if you are a Christian from other denomination (eg: Anglican, Presbyterian, Charismatic, Evangelistic, Baptist, Seventh Day Adventist, etc) but Not Methodist, both ACS Barker and ACS Junior - do not recognise.
must be from Methodist church. -
Generally speaking, if you belong to the Methodist Church, you have priority for admission to the primary schools run by the Methodist Church.
Better don’t take chances. So far i see parents in phase 2B of ACS are all through Methodist Church affiliation.
