      Hiya,

Side track a little....Does anyone know of any good chinese tuition teacher that makes house visits ? Appreciate your feedback...thanks! 🙂

My aunt is a retired chinese teacher and giving tuition. From what I know, she improvises games, etc into her tuition lessons. She resides in Toa Payoh so I reckon if u stay ard Kuo Chuan, she wouldn't mind travelling.
pm me if you want her contact.

Thanks PinkApple! Just PMed u! 🙂

        hi,

just to check, I lost the slip for the parents’ breakfast with principal.
May I check whether can furnish the details for 1D event?

is this a class by class or one big bang thingy?

        thanks.

          Hi ah bao,

I don't think it's an individual class affair. Anyway, it's this Friday at 7.30am at the school conference room. Need to RSVP for this session. Timing bad for me, so gotta give it a miss tho I'd like to attend.

P1 in the afternoon but it's supposed to be a breakfast session, right? Can't be taking breakfast in the afternoon, right? 😉

                  Hi, parents,

How's your ds or dd coping in school so far? Hv ur dear feedback to u abt their pri 1 form teacher?

I hv a chat with my boy b4 he went to sleep just now. M surprised to learn some form teacher cld be quite rude & fierce to the pupils when they not doing well....is it true? Eg. Teacher will say to pupil: Get out of here & throw their book on e floor instead pass to them! Is it normal for teacher to treat e pupil like tat?

Tot teacher shld hv a passion, patience & a warm heart to teach & coach our young one. When I kept asking my boy, do u like your form teacher? He replied : I dunno...:( I don't ask my boy abt his form teacher since day 1 he started schl @ Kuo chuan cos I tot he doing well & adapt to all.

M really quite upset when he told me his form teacher talk in tis manner to e pupil. In my opinion, i don't find it is a right way to talk & act like tat cos it cld b hurt & demoralize them!

May need to talk to principle if tis going to happen again.

Any parents wld like to share your ds/dd experience in schl?

                    Hi Goat,

Based on my son feedback, his form teacher is very strict. That’s the reason why my son always ensure he does his homework. However, He feels very proud of himself whenever his form teacher praise him. I think it’s good.

He has somebody that he scared of. Also, He tries to motivate himself to do things right because he want to be appraised by his form teacher.

I don’t have negative comment on my son form teacher at the moment. I believe He’s on the good hand.

fr my experience, throwing books on the floor happens fr P3 onwards. Usually P1s and P2s don't get it. Don't know why but suddenly p3 teachers become very nasty.

While a teacher can be firm and strict, such action as throwing books on the floor cannot be condone.

You should feedback direct to the principal, because if you don't and more nasty things happen, he will ask why you did not feedback to him earlier. Then you'll have to share the blame for part of the problem for having put your child through unnecessary stress.

                        Hihi, mummies

Thanks for sharing. Teachers can firm & strict but they shld’nt asked the pupil to ‘get out of here & throw the book on the floor!’ Tis behaviour is ridiculous! Tis cld lead to negative impact to the pupils! Esp. our young one.

Will email to Clifford & feedback my concern.
