I think i will be facing this dilemma of choosing between RGS or ngyhs

      Me too!

How to solve this problem i really don't know. Shld we leave the decision to a 12 year old?

Both schools are very good but with rather different cultures, traditions and ambience. The child would probably feel more comfortable in one environment compared to the other. She's the one who'll have to go to school everyday for the next 6 years. If you feel strongly that your child should go to one school over the other, then raise the pros and cons of both and persuade the child to your choice. But do not force. I've seen kids whose parents forced them into schools against their wishes and it was not a happy child.

My dd's interest in the subjects & results very much reflect how much she likes her teachers. 😄

Agree! After attending open houses, my DD, at first was very keen to school A, has already said that she wants to go school B. In the end of days, she is the one who are going to be there for four years.

Agree that the child should decide. Like jtoh said, I will raise the pros and cons with her.

But my dd keeps saying she is neutral and let me decide leh.... aiyah, dunno why so super \"chin-chai\". 🤷

I am so scared if I really decide for her, then anything happen later she will blame me :stompfeet:

You should come to a decision together. Let her know that you will support her decision whichever one it is. Provided of course you don't mind either school? Maybe she thinks you prefer one school over another and doesn't want to go against your wishes?

Actually they are saying if want to go for science then RGS. If humanities, then go NYGH.

                  Any comments ?

if the kid DSA for both rgs and nygh.

i think one tough qn to answer would be why did you dsa for 2 schools instead of one?

And if the school knew that you have also DSA for another school, they won’t be happy right??
