Aiyo ....if the kid DSA for both rgs and nygh.
i think one tough qn to answer would be why did you dsa for 2 schools instead of one?
And if the school knew that you have also DSA for another school, they won't be happy right??

Just as good students apply for more than one scholarship and uni, so is expected of good pupils applying to both these schools.
During the interview be frank and hve a smart answer ready. One good reason to give is you list the merits of each and proclaim how you see yourself benifitting from from the programme. Of course if you hve dislike for any of these schools, just choose the one you really like.
Academically no difference in both. -

I agree on the students:) though for sch culture NY is more chinese oriented than rgsactually, NYGH is no less angmo than RGS, and no more cheena than RGS;
and RGS is no less cheena than NYGH, nor more angmo than NYGH
don't judge just by their names -

is RGS affiliated to RJC?
yes it is -
Hi, I am an RGS student myself in Year 2 right now. And I was just thinking I could give you some idea on what RG life is.
In all honesty, from P5 onwards, I'd been rooting for NYGH, I really didn't expect myself to ever go to RGS. In fact, I was one of those who submitted my options and edited them last-minute. To be honest, I'm glad I did.
As what everyone says, RGS life is tough. it's undeniable. I didn't do quite well in Semester 1 - but neither did anyone else, except for a few exceptions. But it really helped in my learning to be independent. The teachers are great. Yes, they don't spoon-feed us with step-by-step teaching but instead, they provide us with the notes and knowledge needed. Some topics like history or Geography require some research, so it's really a great chance to learn more than what other schools offer if you use the net wisely and grasp the skills for research.
The exams aren't all packed in a week like other schools where they have mid-year assessments and such. In RGS, they space out the exams. For example, week 4 we might have an SA day pertaining to only 2-3 subjects (sometimes even 1) and week 6 will be another one and so on. The system's extremely good as we'll have more time to study for each subject and the stress is so much lesser.
Feel free to ask me anything else if you'd like, I'm more than willing to share.

tired mom:
Anyone went for RGS open house today? Was there any information whether RGS will be moving? will it be to a holding site?
Hi. I'm an RGS student and yes, RGS will be moving. but pertaining to that question, the new campus will be a permanent one but it'll most probably be only finished in about 2015 or so... Heard it's in Braddell but I'm not too sure
