You looking for SGD FD only?

Actually I am thinking of AUD FD. The interest very high, but FX risk is there…

Depends on your amount and tenor period. Most banks like DBS, OCBC, HSBC have the same fixed deposit interest rate for the initial 3 months and it differs after that. Should also see which bank has hidden fees like ‘set up charge, early termination fee etc’.

I park some fund in NZD fixed deposit for a few years. So far so good…interest much better than Sing FD.

                    none

is cheaper to borrow at loan rates lower than inflation rates while deposit rates are near zero

if you willing to try foreign curreny FD, returns are quite good in today's market. however, there is currency risk. citibank has its monthly promotion on foreign currency FD going on now. stanchart rates also good considering its low min deposit compared to other banks.

before embarking on foreign currency deposit, people should read up on interest rate parity theory first
