He doesn't care about what sound he produces, ah? 😜

Afraid not! But I think he prefers those low, mellow sounds, not those bright ones, since that was what he picked in the end. He rejected the 2 brighter ones. Maybe that's him cos he's not the chirpy type! Always moody and grouchy!

Strings does play apart in the sound difference as well.

Is there any place where i can get the price of a string instructment assess? Thinking of swapping a viola for violin. But i don’t know who would give me a fair deal.

Hi, other than Synwin, where can I buy a hard violin case for full-sized violin? Wanted to buy Bobelock brand but can’t seem to find any, all those recommended ones are China-made.

          Thanks,

            Thanks,
Have you considered Gramercy? I bought a BAM carbon fiber violin case there.

[quote=\"georgewong22\"]Hi luckystar, do you happen to know how I am able to contact Ms. Yah Wan Har?

Thistlesound, airex - I have a 6 year old daughter who is currently in Yamaha's Music For Children program. She is bored as it is sluggish and is only asked to play short notes 2x each class. She says she likes music and would like to pursue the violin.

We live around Bishan's J8 and am wondering if anyone has good recommendations of a private home tutor.

              Thank you and best regards.

My sister's violin teacher (since she was 3yo, she's now 16) lives near GY Sec. He teaches from his home. He was in the SSO and has been teaching for many years. He also has a children's orchestra in his church which provides opportunities for children to perform (even if you are non-christian, you are welcome). He also has year end concerts for his students to perform.

I can pass you his contact if you are keen.

If I am not wrong, violin comes in different sizes. My P2 girl has just started her violin class & we just bought one for her at $150. You can try to advertise on the kiasuparents garage sales forum. It is free.
