      Hi Jappooh,

My viewpoint - U can go for SV to try to ballot if you have solid backup plan send your childe to 2nd choice school. If you are not confident of securing a place at Phase 2C supp for 2nd choice, then you may like to consider alternative instead of getting nowhere at the end.
      Hi snowball32,
the thing is i am not sure my 2nd choice at Phase 2C supp my boy can secure a seat anot. If cant then end up like u say end up in nowhere. Important is i doesnt wan my kid to travel too far. Will decide these few days. Mon is the date.

Have u decide on the school to enrol?

I am going for YTPS as we have already have 2nd choice at Phase 2C supp (so far in history, still got places available at Phase 2C). But, keeping our fingers crossed that my DD1 can get in to YTPS as its just opp my place.

Hi snowball, thanks for the link to past statistic. It helped.

Hi Jappooh, you seems to be living very close to my area since your school choice about same as me.
Can ask which kindergarten is your child in now?
Just curious only. Mine now in Keat Hong PCF.

Based on the link that snowball provides us. it seems that CCK ballot quite badly in 2C supp. Last year, worse. 2C already ballot.

My hb told me straight to CCK pri to play safe. Most probably I would do so from past statistic.

My kid at pcf Blk 295. I feel not bad. Teachers' quite friendly. But quite alot of Tamil students. To me, I don't mind. I put them there mainly cos of proximity so that my mil or maid can send and fetch them easily.

And cos it's pcf, so they have enrichment lessons organised by schools which are quite cheap. Around $37.50 per subject per month. I let my kids go for the arts only cos' already send them to outside enrichments for English, Maths and piano.

They have facebook. Maybe can take a look: https://www.facebook.com/keathong.kindergarten

It's really a tough decision to make....

If can't get into South View, will have to ballot again under Phase 2C Supp, hopefully by then CCKPS still have vacancy.
We will have to go through 2 rounds of heart attack, haha...

By then, Concord will also be full, and the whole of CCK will be left with Kranji & Teck Whye Primary.

To try or not to try South View...Haiz... :?

Do you mind your child studying in Kranji or Teck Whye? If not, go ahead and apply with South View.

If you mind, perhaps you should consider one where you do not need to ballot.

springrain, I also same loh. Still thinking trying south view or not.

                      I have only 2 choices:
                      1) Try South View, failed. See CCK Pri still have slots, if not, have to go to Kranji or Teck Whye which are slightly farther.
                      2) Straight to CCK Pri. No need to worry anything.

But I high possibility is CCK Pri cos’ I am now under pressure from HB to do so. That’s his reference. He dun like heart attack.

Hi does anyone know if P1 pupils need to go through some sort of entry tests before the school allocating them to their classes? Is it true that if kids get a place in the "best class" at the level then it doesn’t really matter which school they go to, whether it is SV or Kranji.
