      Hi

My daughter was lucky and got balloted into SCGS yesterday in P2C 🙂 Looking forward to her spending many memorable years in SCGS! I hope that this is the right school for nurturing both my daughters!

          Pinky cat:
          Hi

I am thinking of transferring my girl to this sch. She is P1 next yr. Read from their website that parents need to put on the girl waitlist by filling up a form. Any idea what and how is the criteria? Will they give proritise to those who are on waitlist after unsuccessful in phase 2C this yr exercise?
Go read the Novena Pri Sch and P1 2013 reg threads.
Used to have an entrance test but apparently this will be removed.
Think there are no didactic rules regarding selecion from waitlist, discretion from the principal.
Its a very hot gal sch. You need to call the sch to find out more.

is there any new changes to P1 registration rules impacting alumni in end may 2012?

            phtthp:
wait until MOE announce new changes to P1 registration rules impacting alumni in end May 2012 then decide, if yr child is born 2008 or after.

Welcome to SCGS, i'm sure she will spend many memorable years here!

Thanks minami! Do you know which bus companies serve the school? We can prob drop my DD off in the morning on the way to the office but she will have to take the sch bus home. Or if there are mummies that are looking for kids to carpool in the nearby vicinity pls PM me. I prefer carpool to sch bus if the former is an option.

Can parents here share with me whether your child attends any CCA/enrichment after sch hours in P1 nearby the sch? I would like her to attend on some days so that she doesn't have so much free time at home in the afternoon.

I plan to reschedule her morning swimming lessons to a weekday afternoon when she starts P1. If there is anyone keen to join her swim class (we live in a condo nearby the sch), pls PM me. It would be good for her to have a swim buddy : )

              Thank you.

                Welcome to SCGS 2hotTOhandle.

The school will mail out the list of bus drivers, uniform providers, book list before P1 orientation day. You can sign up for after school enrichment classes on that day, collect the uniforms and books. It’s all quite exciting. The girls and their parents wil be led to their assigned class, meet the form teacher, other parents and fellow classmates. Prefects, school staff and even some parent volunteers will be around to answer questions.

A question for existing parents of SCGS students:

On school attire, specifically footwear. Would any white socks do or do we need ‘school’ socks? Also, any guidelines on shoes?

                    Thanks.

SCGS students are required to wear white socks with SCGS embroidered on the side and white school shooes. However, I believe that students with medical reasons may be allowed to use special footwear, eg. Special shooes for flat feet.

Please bring up any special precautions your daughter may require for medical reasons to the attention of her form teacher on orientation day.
