      mom3and5:
      Hi,

Just wondering about CCAs as my boy will be in P3 next year ... Need to plan for transport. Thanks!

I had wanted to do that for mine last year when he was in P3. But with tuition at the House, homework, traveling, etc, he only had time for Swimming. I figured he needs to let loose and have abandoned fun apart from staying too much in school. This year he is in Basketball.

        Hi!

Anyone with kids at the SA Boarding House? Can share what it is like there, especially for P1 kids who are new and adjusting to new environment? Are the teachers caring and good with the kids? TIA!

Mine’s been there since P1. I give the House 9.5/10. Just need to watch your kid’s feedback and things they ‘do not’ say. For my son, he started to give his feedback late P3 onwards and most of the time it was about other kids making noise. The Jeff, Clive and the House staff do an excellent job in tending to the kids, in my opinion. He does not go there during the holidays, though.

Many good things going on except its under performance in mt-chinese.

For those ds who are already in or about to start school next year, emphasis more on chinese to build up their foundation. Take up enrichment or tuition classes to supplement the school’s programme as these measures in my view are necessary to counter the less than competitive enviroment for mt learning vs-a-vs the better known neighbourhood schools.

I believe this school can perform much better in years to come.

Thanks Cervelo! 🙂 Glad to hear the good feedback. I met Jeff (I think) and he seems nice. My son seems to like the place too. 🙂

                Hi,

I am considering this school for my son in the future. Can anyone share about the charges of the house and its programmes/schedules?

                Thanks!

Boy who went missing before PSLE exam -Found

In a case believed to linked to exam-related stress, a boy ran away from home on Tuesday, leaving his parents “worried sick”.

Matthew Jason Tjong, 12, a St Andrews Junior School Primary 6 student, was last seen at Boon Keng MRT station at 1.30pm that day.

His parents then began “combing Singapore frantically”, and an appeal also went viral on Facebook and Twitter, in which the Tjongs pleaded for information on their son's whereabouts.

At 12.28am today, popular blogger Mr Brown, who had joined in the appeal to find Matthew, posted that he “had been found and reunited safely with his family”.

When contacted over the phone at 1.30am, Matthew’s father said the police had just dropped off his son at their home.

                  :yikes: :yikes:
