[/quoteHi Yukilei,
I sent u a PM. Pls take a look.
Hi cckmom,
I checked liao... but CL/HCL stated as Mon/Tue... if my son is not taking HCL, does it means he only need to stay back on Mon??? Blur lor... thus... my nickname. Yes, I'm aware of the 1 week duration for CCA which we will iron out by 8th Jan, same as P1 for new arrival.
Hey, check your inbox. I will send u a msg. Thks!cckmom:
Hi All
did you check the website. I think HPPS CCA list is updated and they have a contact person for each. check out. Also My friend whose DD next year P1 said they have orientation something on the first day for CCA and then given 1 week to decide.
thnx. PM you again (searching for inbox so long  ) -
I think most of the GEP info should be up in the school websites alerady. Just checked for CHS, already listed total 54 students for 2 GEP classes next year.

Herbie:
ya true..if they don't reply to me by this week..I will make a trip to NHPS to meet the principal, hopefully the principal will help me.. :love:Hi Lovemummy
I think you shld drop by the school and ask for the procedure on the transfer or ask to see the principal.
I have seen parents buying uniform for a P2 girl who got transfered into RGPS as her sis will be at RGPS for the GEP programme.

Hi ngbrdadLovemummy:
my ds got in to Nan Hua Primary School..do you think it is easy to transfer my younger son over..
Congrats .
My DS1 is currently in P4GEP in NHPS this year.
You can try talking to the school about transfering your younger son.
But do note that there will a change in the principal next year.
Currently principal Mrs Lee is really nice and helpful so maybe you should approach her before the change of the principal.
Since your son has been in P4 GEP in NHPS, could you please share with me the workload in this school?..Do I still need to buy him assessment books or past year question paper for him to practice..If yes, pls advice the type of assessment books and the publishers. -
Hi Lovemummy,
If I were you, I would hv "chong" to the school to settle the issue with the principal asap.
Cos the principal may clear leave and go for his/her vacation.
Cheers! -
Herbie:
Ya..I have just received a reply from NHPS about my request..They told me, currently they don't have vacancy for P2 so will put my younger son on waiting list..sighHi Lovemummy,

Lovemummy:
Like what Herbie mentioned, I think you've better go and look for the principal directly. Else they wil be 'by book'...

Hi. as far as I knowHi ngbrdad,
Could you kindly share the following information for GEP at NHPS?
(1) Which are the designated days for afternoon classess (what timing?)for P4 and for what subjects?
(2) How many projects are required to do at P4 and whether children do them in school or bring home or at team members' home? what is the deadline like for P4?
(3) Are most GEP kids at this school active in their CCA? Are majority school team players?
(4) Is the HCL more difficult than that of mainstream P4? Any different?
Thanks!
1) Friday is the day that GEP and twinning students stay back for computer enrichment from 2 to 3.45pm.
They do stay back on Thursday for enrichment too but that's for the whole school more or less.
2) Projects should be more or less the same for all GEP schools I thought ? Most of them can bring home and do
3) As far as I know majority of them are not school team players. The school is strong in table tennis and basketball and the selection process is very stringent.
4. For HCL I think it's more or less the same as the main stream. The twinning students take the same HCL papers as the GEP students.
Twinning students are the non GEP students from Nan Hua with the highest scores in the GEP screening who can't make the GEP cut off.
Usually around same number of GEP students ie around 45. -

For HCL just get the usual HCL assessment books.Hi ngbrdad

For the rest unfortunately there are no ready assessment books or past year papers.
At least for science you can follow the syallabus, as for math just let your child practice on P5 and P6 questions.
