Was the guide from Chan Bros EL or CL speaking?

The guide is a local and she mainly speaks in CL.

        Thanks for replying.

Hmm... like that a bit difficult. Dad's a peranakan and can't speak CL. Thinking of bringing my parents after reading about your sharing. 😉 But must look for EL speaking guide. Except for dd2 whose CL is the most proficient, the rest of us

        Thanks 😉

how should we go about with the trip?
any suggestions of what we should do?

Understand that Taiwan is do-able free & easy, but it wd be helpful if one can speak their lingo. The Taiwanese are said to be very friendly. Maybe u can try checking out some tour agencies to Taiwan? Make sure u request for an English speaking guide if you decide to go on group tours.

Have been hearing good things from friends and relatives who went - good food and great scenery.

Came across this, Tradewinds Tours - subsidiary of Singapore Airlines. They conduct English tours only

And no, I do not work for them. Just sharing what I know.

            Happy planning!! 😉

I didn’t know Flying Cow Ranch is so popular! Most rooms are almost fully booked during the Nov-Dec school holidays. Managed to secure the warmly family suite. 

Now I am looking for a reliable driver, preferred 8 seater van. Any recommendation?

                  Hi

Anyone knows how to book accommodation at Leo Foo village. Is it worth the price to stay one night there?
Almost all the hotel website are fully booked for the Leo Foo Village, I booked mine via this website HotelsOne.com, this is the only one that I can booked :scared:

The rates for the hotel was high but since we intend to travel to taiwan and to pamper the kids, we just went ahead, hopefully it be loaded with fun and memories

                    Hi,

I only have 1 and half day in Taipei next weekend with 2 kids, 5 & 7yr old.

I am thinking to spend a day either in Window on China or Qigu Salt mountain? Anyone can advice the type of transportation to the locations respectively?

Is it worthwhile to go to the Martyr’s Shrine to watch the guard;s changing? My boy is still quite sour that we couldnt’ go to our NDP. This might be interesting for him.

                    Many thanks!

Hi everyone, I would like to bring my family (2 old folks, 2 kids - 7 & 8 years old) to vist Taipei in Dec and would love to find out how to maximise a 5D4N trip. It’s my first time heading to Taiwan. Most of the travel package required to stay and change hotel every day. Although we would like to cover as many interesting places, doesn’t like the idea of the touch n go feeling.

I have intention to stay 2 nights ideally at Flying Cow Ranch and 2 nights at Taipei, hopefully able to cover Leo Foo Village… I believe Jiufen is close to Taipei as well…

Would appreciate if anyone can share with me your itinerary.

                      Many thanks!
