Can be everything. Among those students who were accepted under DSA, i notice they were usually good in studies(not necessarily extremely good, but certainly in the top 10% of their cohort), maths, and performing arts ccas, as well as sports ccas, in and out of school. As in, these kids had a \"Life\", lah. Not just studies, studies...

I agree with you, karmeleon. In addition, the schools also look at the leadership qualities of the student (prefect or head-prefect) and community service performed. (peer tutoring, overseas community service )

I like your last sentence - these kids had a 'life' - cheers to that....that's what I hope my kids will achieve out of school - not just excellent grades but to have built many beautiful relationships and learnt many new skills.

They have actually done that in their primary school and hopefully will continue to do so in their secondary school years. :celebrate:

So the case not the same as your son's.

        Thank you for the reply.

Since my boy does not hv an active sch CCA but plays badminton under a private coach, I can list it down in the appeal letter right?

Yes, bc like my boy was in 2 performing ccas, n won prizes in karate outside of sch, serves in church group, n is also part of a community orchestra. And another friend fr same sch who also got in, was in a performing cca plus swimming for sch and is a nafa dip student.

But another of their sch friends, usu among top 3 in level but not active in cca - he didn't get confirmed offer. Same with the child of another of my friends. In fact, this child did extremely well in the dsa selection test .

Do they ask for any proof of document for things that you list down?
