Hi my son scored 241 any suggestion which 6schools should i opt for.

Got a couple of school that i am looking at
Since we staying in the east was thinking of
        1.Temasek sec, cop 232-254
        2.Victoria sec, cop 246-270
        3.Tanjong katong sec, cop 236-260
        4.Dunman sec, cop 234-261
        5.Ngee Ann, cop 233-259
        6.Pasir Ris Crest, cop 222-246

Son really wants me to also put in victoria but hes short of 5 points to even try for it ..shd i?
        does this look okay
soo stress to think of it
        thanks in advance
        😒 :? :?: :stupid: πŸ™
My son initially wanted Victoria, cos he got good feedback from his friends.
I told him that the COP is 246, so even if he gets in with his score of 245, he will likely be at the bottom of his cohort.
So he has decided against it, and would rather go to a school where he can be comfortable in and explore his potential at a less stressful pace.

              Hi2mom:
my daughter is very obsessed about IP, but the question is, what are the advantages of IP? I heard somewhere that if one drop out of IP, it'll be like he/she hasn't even graduated from secondary school and well, are there that many schools that consider IP???

:?
Hi2mom, many peoples have the wrong concept about IP. So was I, one year ago. But now, I am very comfortable with it as my dd is in IP and after observing the progress of her seniors. The school is more \"kan cheong\" than you on how well they can progress and cope.

There is no such thing as drop out of IP. Its either you get retained one year, promoted with conditions or move to \"O\" level class (1 class only). Every samester, the school monitor their results closely, get them attend remedial lesson if necessary. πŸ˜„

hi can somnebody help my brother ??

My nephew scored 256 . he did not take higher MT. we are agonising between choosing HCI or NJC as !st choice cause both school cop is 260 . HCI said he can do the appeal with his sop form now and couldnt commit if he stands a chance. ditto for NJC. should he go ahead and try for both as 1st and 2nd choice or should he gives up 1 and put down RV as his 2nd instead of 3rd choice ??? do you think he will stand a chance for HCI. He s keen to go for the IP prog. by not choosing RV as his 2nd choice , will he have a danger of not getting it if he fails to get into NJC or HCI.
Please someone , can you offer your very frank opinion ! Thanks πŸ™
I pm you on my private thoughts on this. Did you receive? Pls choose your choices wisely.

My daughter scored 238 and we decided the following schools as her six choices.

                  1)crescent girls' (just trying )
                  2)tanjong katong girls'
                  3)commonwealth sec
                  4)zhonghua sec
                  5)swiss cottage sec
                  6)temasak sec

Is these choices safe enough? will she be to get in to any of the choices ?
                  :?: :?: :?:
Most likely she will get into Tanjong Katong Girls'

oh, ok daisyt thanks, but according to what i heard, which also surprises me, is that all universities approve of O level, but i don't know about IP. Is it better to have a good result in O level or to take the IP process?? :?: :?: :?:

Definitely the IP route if given the choice. That way, yr child wont be spending 1 year to drill for the Os; time which is better spent widening their horizon, doing electives, A levels etc.

Hi2mom, after IP, they will take A level or IB. With that, they can proceed to Uni.

IP learning process is fun and can really triggle your child's independent, creative, courage and team work. There are many projects, research and presentation to do, for all subjects. πŸ˜„
