which gold ? can be more specific ?

NMOS gold for p5, got chance for DSA to NUSH (only)

SMOPS gold (p6, generally).....throw one stone can hit so many....no chance for DSA success

also, UNSW distinction is 'nothing', need to be high distinction, but when compared with SMOPS platinum still quite far lar....

and for AMC, high distinction is nothing, it just says you are lousy - did not win a prize (this one my son says one)

My ds's friend, P6 GEP this year, NMOS gold, SMOPS platinum, P6 SA1 > 83%, rejected by NUSH DSA. For NUSH, performance for the DSA tests and camp seem to be the deciding factor. Anyway, he got RI CO, HCI not out yet.

some time kids could be very \"atas\" and refuse to be team player in DSA camp. that is a negative trait that DSA camp is looking out for. NOT saying your ds's friend is like that, just saying it is one of possible reasons why no offer from NUSH[/quote]Yes, the kid is very smart but has problems like refuse to hand in homework even after getting scolding by teachers. My ds said he would not be surprised if he did something \"funny\" during the camp.

Think This is strictly for P5, so those older kids in P5 disqualify.

Seemingly AiTong, NanHua & NanYang do not participate … Maybe not as prestigious? Dunno the reason too.

Good for For those keen in DSA to ACSI, their website mentioned it will be take into consideration during DSA. But good for boys only since Year1-4 is boys’ school.

                  For P5 only.

The venue for preliminary round is participating schools' own premises. So, if a school does not participate, its students cannot take part. Maybe ACSI should provide an option for those students to join the competition in ACSI's campus.

Quite interesting that it has sprint event in the finals.

RIPMWC is usually in March. Open Category is for P6 and Junior Category is for P5 and below.
