The one time that I did find it embarassing was when we were in Narita airport and we had only 15 mins b4 boarding and I was in a frenzy looking for the Royce chocolate counter. I was practically running around like a headless chicken and asking everyone that passed me \"Royce? wheres Royce? U know Royce?...\" of course pple thought I was looking for someone name Royce and a sercurity guard had came up to me and asked if he could help me
I stared at him and said very slowly: \"ROYCE CHOCOLATE\" and made a eating sign. He went AAHH, and helped me find the counter which I bought like 10 boxes within 5 mins and ran to the other end of the terminal to board the plane with them announcing my name.
This time round, I made sure I had 2 hrs in transit, so I can shop for my fav chocolate  -

Hi
Know where I can find good and authentic Nonya Kuehs? I don’t like those from Bengawan Solo as I think they are average and over priced. -
Not sure of what you think of Subway - B1 of The Forum. I love it but I’m not nonya, so I don’t have a benchmark to compare against.

:imanisland: blobbi, haven't seen you around lately.
hi bliss, I rem we've a thread somewhere on this and buds mentioned some place in yewtee that has good nonya kueh. yoohoo, buds, can help to find the link? -
Hiya mathsparks, yeah.. we discussed it here.
Click the blue link to go right there. > http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3389
Mods.. can consider merging and changing the
thread subject to Malay & Nonya kueh?
-
Yes, the one in Yew Tee Point’s KAMPUNG KUEH
@ Basement 1 has many different types of kueh.
It’s run by Malay ladies… so all halal.
Bengawan Solo has the nonya versions but they
are not halal.
