With such a wide age-range... i think best to split the kids up... between my 6yr old girl and my 11yr old boy... we eventually (with some protest) split up and took different rides... after about 2-3 hours we got back together for a scheduled fastpass at Astro blasters (easily one of the best rides)...

The Jungle Cruise was hilarious... of course i didn't understand a word either... Ummm.... if possible maybe skip the paddle boat circuit... but if you're in for laughs with the chief paddler... then go for it...

radiantmum, we brought 3 cameras! okay lah... unless you're loaded then you can bring one superduper lens to shoot everything... i used a Canon 350D with a 135mm/f2 fixed focal lens. The shots with nice blurry backgrounds are mostly shot with this setup. My son used a Lumix G1 with 14-45mm. His duties were to shoot scenery(parks + buildings), food (coz the lens can do close up), random street shots and of course most importantly, to catch the family photos... the last camera is a digital compact type, a pretty old trusty Lumix LZ2... this was our backup.

      share your blog leh...

My preschool boy's favourite is Gadget's Go Coaster in Toontown & Grand Circuit Raceway in Tommorrowland. Jungle cruise is also pretty enjoyable especially the guide's animated tour (you can feel the excitement without understanding a word he says ;-p). For teenagers they'll enjoy those rides more - think they will prefer DisneySea more than Disneyland unless they are the goo-ga-ga disney characters type. Enjoy!

& hey mckenzy, share your camera info with me too. I loaded mine onto blog too but somehow the clarity after loading looks different than shown on the camera or computer

        Thanks for all the info.

We may split up as mckenzy suggested as it is probably better. Hopefully the waiting time for each ride is not too long on that day so that my kids can enjoy few more rides.

        Feeling excited. haha

How about Universal Studios? Any suggestions?

                  hey(:

going to Japan on the 15th dec with my two aunts
hmm will be spending one day at disneyland, one day at universal studio

I think we will only manage to spend about half a day at disneyland (cuz we are following tour group)
so we really need to plan our time at disneyland(:

hmm what rides at disneyland are fun?
did anyone go for the haunted mansion ride, was it fun?
how to make most of the time I have at disneyland?
(effective use of fastpass/single rider queues)?

what about universal studio? what rides are fun?

                  thanks!

                    Disneyland - must ride:

                    1. Toy story buzz lightyear
                    2. Its a small world
                    3. Poo honey pot hunt
                    4. space mountain - a bit scary/might cause nauseousness

                    Universal Studios - must ride:
                    1. Juraissic Park
                    2. Spiderman

For your age, space mountain in disneyland cannot be missed. MUST TRY but not for the weak heart or afraid of dark sort.

It's a Small World is something I have gone on for 5 times and still love it.

Haunted House in Japan is in Japanese so the fear factor is greatly reduced due to the language barrier. It is much better in LA Disneyland.

I saw this one in HK last year and it was not available in Tokyo when I was there 3 years back so not sure if you can find it there now. It's a show by Stitch, it's hilarious! Can't tell you more otherwise it will take away the fun, especially in Cantonese it was even funnier.

Disneyland can easily take 1 day so I am surprised the tour plan only half day(especially winter season, they close 1-2 hrs earlier too).
I got the 2-days pass when I first went in LA and still not enough time as I went in winter too.

Subsequently all other trips I had to spend at least a FULL day there to feel SATISFIED.

Both are great parks, but personally I prefer DisneySea more than Disneyland. Some even says it is the best theme park in the world!
