I'd suggest that u book 1 or 2 tours online, and book the others when u get to Melbourne. I am assuming that u will be staying somewhere in the city. The visitors' centre at Federation Square provides all sorts of infor n services tourists will need, including various tour booking services, public transport information etc. Considering the age of your twins, you may want to go slow and plan according to how they take to the travel. Thanks bebebub. Do you know if it is cheaper to book the local tour in Melbourne itself, or is it cheaper to book online? Different peoples tell me differently, I’m confused :s

Does anyone know does kid below 3 years old need to pay for local day tour? I was quoted by one of them that they charge 50% for my 2 year old, is that normal? TIA.

Here is the link to grayline website. For them children between 4-14 is 50% of adult and under 4 is free.

I was quoted by Wildlife Tours.
· The 1 day Great Ocean Road tours are available every day. The cost for an adult will be $99 and for a child at the age of 2 it will be $49,50 (50%). The total price for 2 adults and 2 children will be $297.
· The 1 day Phillip Island tour is available on the 26th, the 28th, the 30th and the 31st of October. The costs for an adult will be $109 and for a child at the age of 2 it will be $54,50 (50%). The total price for 2 adults and 2 children will be $327.
Do you think that is a good deal? -

:imsorry: no help, bcos I never use them before so dunno. I have only used grayline in melbourne and thought they were not bad. Is this Wildlife tours the cheapest or most expensive among various agencies? Different agencies have different pricing strategies. Check out a few and compare the quotes and itinerary. Maybe you can check tripadvisor to see if there are any reviews on them too. Good luck!I was quoted by Wildlife Tours.

Actually as long as it is sealed, no problem to bring milk. I even bought a 2kg packet of Thai Rice on our trip because DD2 has a picky taste. They let me through. Every morning, I cooked the plain rice and put in warmer. Then we fed our girls with the rice and whatever food (BBQ chicken, Fish&chips etc) we bought along the way.Hi,
Like to check where to declare the kids milk powder? Have to declare those milk powder in the checked in luggage? -
Thanks Dnls_mum. We are considering between Grayline and Wildlife tours - only these 2 responded to our email queries.
Also, can I ask if it is worth paying extra for the penguin parade for the viewing platform? TIA. -

We did pay extra for the viewing platform. Personally I think it is worth it. There were so many more penguins coming up this way. Thanks Dnls_mum. We are considering between Grayline and Wildlife tours - only these 2 responded to our email queries.

For those at the normal platform, sometimes there were so few penguins so the people were allowed to stand along the deck as the penguins walked to their nest. But you cannot see the penguins swim up to the shore from this long deck.
We only upgraded at the station. There were some last min discounts. Not sure if you want to take your chance though.
