Anyone heard of \"Andrew Er learning hub\"? For those who are not aware, Andrew Er is a well-known author of several maths assessment books which you can get at Popular bookstores. Understand the school was set up last year, using teaching methods specially developed by Andrew Er himself.

The school conducts lessons based on the current school syllabus with an emphasis on helping students to tackle and solve challenging as well as non-routine questions. In short, it helps to prepare our kids for the PSLE ! 😄

The school has two centres now, one at Kovan and the other at Balmoral Plaza. Heard long waiting list to get a weekend time slot.

Please share your comments about the school if you have kids studying there. Thanks.

            Hi!

So far the feedback abt Andrew Er has been positive and parents r happy with e centre. I'm also considering sending my child to Andrew Er. Placement Test is required.
For P1 English, any parents send their children to Morris Allen, Lorna Whiston or Learning Lab? Any feedback! Thanks!

one of my son’s classmate is attending learning lab-English in eastpoint (simei). the feedback given is rather positive. An entry test is needed too to gauge your child’s ability.

Yes Learning Point @ Thomson Plaza is also a highly sought after enrichment centre. They too have to go thru Placement Test before child is accepted.

Child has to know A-Z sounds, write own name.
As for Maths, must at least know up to 20, problem sums, number bonds as well. Therefore it’s wise to practise with child.

heard some feedback that they tend to give lots of homework to drill the kids; and the questions and generally quite challenging. Anyone knows of centres offering more diverse math classes…likes of math olympiad?

If possible, is best that you coach yr child maths since he/she is going to pri 2 next year, no need to spend on tuiton. Just buy maths guide book from popular book shop and take a look at the examples, you will be able to answer the question and also learn the technique to solve the problem sum.

Most of the tuition agencies are good but it also depends on yr child (if the child is self-motivated)
