can consider getting it drained but it’ll be back. i once had severe sinus problems that resulted in headaches etc… Checked by specialist found that my sinuses were infected. Was put on a course of antibiotics and nasal spray and I’m all clear now.

Try also Sterimar spray on a daily basis. It's sea salt spray (even can be used on babies) to cleanse the nostrils. Also good for people with sensitive nose (allergies). Introduced to a few friends and the feedback was good. I do not have sinus but I use it on a daily basis.

You can try pressing on the accupressure points, it helps to relieve the sinus problem easily. To know more, do call me at 97226844.

I second that. My DS uses it when there is a hint of runny nose and its very effective. Plus point is that its also natural - contains sea water.

You may want to find the root cause of the problem ie is it dust etc.. that is aggravating it? Then try and sort out the problem accordingly.

I suffered from it in my late teens to mid twenties because that was when my room was carpeted. It completely cleared up after I got married and moved into a bedroom that had parquet flooring 😄

I’m using pure sesame oil on my kid (and myself also). just dab a bit in the nostril. Son hates it, but it seems to work. We used to do it daily, but now cut down to once in a while. Typically we do it before bedtime cos that’s when he starts sniffing and making noise.

I was told by a penangnite to use this brand called Gnee Hong - this is avaiable in JB Giant also. But I feel that perhaps can just use any brand. remember, don’t buy the blended sesame oil - there’s the pure version (never knew got difference until today).

                  Dear all,

Like to get your advise on my child who just turned 5. He has been on various medication like lung tonic Dhatifen, Zyrtec for his sensitive nose, and recently, during a visit to KK, they noted his sinuses was inflamed and recommended Nasonex, a mild steriod nose spray.
Just wanted to know if anyone has better natural solutions? We sleep in an air con room with a manageable temperature and these are some of the options:

                  1) No aircon, just ceiling fan
                  2) Aircon plus humifier
                  3) Aromatheraphy - Not Belle Aire due to the high alcohol content, but pure essential oils with burner
                  4)Nasonex or Zyrtec for life
                  5) Specialist consultation which would most probably diagnose as asthma and to be prescribed with asthma medication
Any advise most welcomed as he has been sleeping poorly, waking up with blocked nose or difficulty breathing. Backdrip seems to come and go while he is sleeping…

                  Thanks in advance!

                  Regards,
                  Mike

                        Hi michael68,

Sorry if I sound ignorant, but may I ask whether was any reason given for your child's inflamed sinuses. I mean was there any probable cause(s) suggested??
