Dear parents,
Thinking to send my DD to student care (P4 next year) near RGPS. Could anyone advise or recommend any centre that your children attending ? Thanks a lot. -
Dear parents of RGPS GEP girls,
I need advice on the quality of the RGPS GEP teachers. During the briefing last Saturday, I can't help but noticed that the teachers at the RGPS booth were a tad cold compared to the other schools' and when I asked a simple question, one of them seemed defensive (yes, I do not understand why because my question was totally unoffensive). May I know what is your experience with the GEP teachers? I hope I'm just being too sensitive as my girl really likes RGPS. Thank you so much... I have to make my decision by Wed :frustrated: -
FireflyMom:
What was the question you asked? By and large, I have no issues with the teachers so far. Attended PTC last year and this year and really appreciate the teachers' comments and observations of my dd. If your dd like rgps, just go for it.Dear parents of RGPS GEP girls,

The GEP teachers are generally very approachable, especially so for the girls. With parents.... I think all teachers will be a bit careful lol. Last weekend, they were swamped, even saw one teacher surrounded by five parents. Based on feedback from older GEP parents and girls, GEP is well run and results are above average than many other centres. Languages are very strong in this school. -
Hi parents,
I am also considering GEP RGPS for my girl but not sure of the chances. Wonder if any one knows how many RGPS girls got selected for GEP this year? -
:thankyou: ,
HVR and meekopeeko
I think I'll go ahead with RGPS then. Wish me luck.. :xedfingers: -

GOOD LUCK! My dd is from RGPS and entering GEP too. Four leaf clover for us too!:thankyou: ,

meekopeeko,
your girl from which P3 class ?
how many girls from her class - offered GEP this year ?
any idea in Total (whole P3 cohort), how many girls been offered ? -
The total number going around is twenty plus, closer to thirty, and it’s just based on what some parents gathered.
No ‘official’ figures ok?
RGPS seems to be quite discreet about this in a good way. No announcements, even congratulations are quiet, at least for my dd’s class. The form teacher handed out the first screening results outside the classroom and told the girls to be sensitive to others. The final results in the yellow envelope… She just called out the names that’s all. The rest of the class actually figured what the envelope was for themselves and congratulated the selected ones. Most importantly, nobody cried over this unlike some of the stories I read elsewhere on this forum.
Mrs Yue did not answer too when a parent asked the principals of GEP centres to reveal figures.
I’m quite happy that life is still normal, actually. -

Not possible with this figure. Last yr, less than 15 made it to GEP. Based on statistics, reputable schools will have abt 5-20.
