In SNG, 95% and above are very good grades. For 90 to 94%, are they considered average?

What are the expectation (%) when it comes to P3?

So much guessing game here…can’t understand the rationale of letting parents know their kids’ standing among the cohort and the highest aggregate for their cohort? It’s for the good reason getting the girls setting a target/goal for themselves for the new year.

I mean can’t understand the school’s rationale of not revealing the requested info by parents.

          Thanks for the info!

Presumably, all the good academic awardees (ie: top 10% of cohort) will all be in 1st class of higher ability with remainder of class filled up by next top 19 aggregate scorers, right? Geez ..... the girls in that class must stay resilient .....

Upon request, would the form teacher tell the parents at MTP whether the girls are allocated to which class category and which percentile they are in among the cohort?
They used to tell which percentile girls fall in for each subject but with this new principal they have taken out this info. Now they only tell highest score, ave score and std dev.

For girls in top class, they gotta stay focused on their own grades and not worry too much abt how their other classmates do. Cos there will definitely be the super high scorers and no pt comparing and comparing and stressing urself out

95% and above is definitely not the norm for the top class. This only applies to the few top students in class (who are also the top students in the entire cohort). High 80% to low 90% should be the average in the the class.

If there is no swimming lesson in St Nicks, how do they select and send girls for competition?[/quote]From my understanding from anther parent, her DD submitted her timings for the various events based on her personal swimming training outside the school and the school selects them based on that. There was no training conducted by the school at all. The girls will need to train on their own (by their personal swimming coach) and submit their training records to the school so that it can choose the girls for competition. :? Hence, credit should go directly to the girls and their outside coach rather than the school....
