I went Jiang Education but was being put off as the class is too big. 1 teacher to 20 students.

Mee too. Certain time slots on weekend have more than 25 pp. For that kind of charges, I think it is silly to join. Friend told me their materials are prepared by their teachers thru cut and paste from old past assessment books and they are mainly \"imported\" from Fujian province or hainan directly by the centre. You would never see their teacher at another schools. Some of them do not pronounce Chinese accurately or speak with Hokkien accent. Friend's child got insulted by the teacher when they decided not to continue with them.

Are the classes at other chinese enrichment a lot smaller or is it still in the range of 10-15 kids ?

Han Lang (opp jiang) would start a class as long as there are two students. You can check with them. Their material is same throughout the island.

I find the shipping still quite expensive. I recently bought about 932 yuan worth of books, and the shipping was 708 yuan.

I saw on another forum that someone is organising a BP with shipping charges of $295 for 100kg. Do you think it is more economical to use that ?[/quote]suggest u visit the local website for chinese books at cheaper price if u are considering extra cost incurred in overseas shipping cost http://www.einno.com.sg they are similar to dangdang.

I went to Molin, their class size keep at maximum 10 students. I have not decided to try it because of transportation. Still thinking between Molin and Tien Hsia.

My girl attended Molin while she was P5. As a mum, I like the worksheets given by Molin, it has lots of exercises, vocabs etc. My girl's chinese wasn't v good at that time while joining Molin, so she did not like it, as it has tons of homework to do, and i still remember that i need to drag her to the class and her tear drops each time before going for class. Stress.

I feel that if a child has good grade in Chinese and wants to furhter excel then it could still be a good choice for upgrading.

Ya I only enroll my DD into Molin where DS with Yuquan. Afraid that Molin have 10 students in the class may not have good attention by the teacher.
