I've always wondered why my father gave me a chinese name with the word 'Arts' in it yet never really encouraged me to pursue my interests in Arts. :? Ultimately, after achieving post graduate degree, I turned one big round and ended up working in a design firm (before I decided to stay home to look after kids).

I fear the danger of me treading my dad's footsteps in over-emphasizing academic success, hence as a mom now, I'd let me kids have more time in areas they are naturally inclined towards.

      Just some self-reflection to share...

I have been sourcing and buying some sand art products for my kids recently. They loved to play with it. Well...I love it too. ๐Ÿ˜‰ So we played together. It was fun!

Then I came across this video clips about sand art when I was surfing the net for sand art information. Wow! The art work presented by the young lady was amazing!

Her name is Kseniya Simonova who is a Ukrainian artist. She was the winner of \"Ukraine Got Talent 2009.\" She used a giant light box, dramatic music, imagination and \"sand painting\" skills to interpret Germany's invasion and occupation of Ukraine during WWII. Awesome presentation...

After watching the clips, my kids were really motivated to do well for their art works. More patience... It has inspired them! ๐Ÿ™‚

I donโ€™t have child, but my sister has. She is good at drawing. I encourage her very much. The talent should be developed from the root. so childhood i the right time to develop this kind of talent.
