      Hi Buds

Thanks for enlightening me. You mean those laminating rolls-like a giant scotch tape is it?
I am so gonna try the sand art and the sun catcher thingy but must find a cheaper one in case it doesnโ€™t turn out for first timer like me.

Yes, in rolls and with either pink or blue

square grids at the back. Yah, hopefully
we can all find a cheaper place to get em'.
I've tried a few other brands and this is 1
time i can publicly say it's a good quality
        product. ๐Ÿ˜‰

          Hi Buds,

Your kids sick too huh? Seems like a lot of kids are falling sick recently. Just got back from the clinic this morning. Both kiddos down with cough and cold. DD poor thing, coughed the entire nite last nite. Now I am at home with them cos my helper is also down with the flu. Both kiddos are so disappointed that they will miss school tomorrow as well cos it is cookery day. Had to promise them that they can prepare their own lunch tomorrow to pacify them. And they will get to do the magic art thing.

I will check around and see what are the prices I can get.

Hope your kids get well soon.

I send my kids to this art centre called lifelong Journeys at Katong Mall.

Am pretty happy with the results ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm not artistically inclined myself, but am, happy to say the teachers have sent in my kids' works for competitions and well, yeah, they won. Nothing BIG, but says a lot for the kids' confidence.

I wouldn't say ART is very much encouraged these days, but seeing my bro's kids doing projects and all in school, it's scary why people dont focus on these artistic skills earlier in life!

I've always wondered why my father gave me a chinese name with the word 'Arts' in it yet never really encouraged me to pursue my interests in Arts. :? Ultimately, after achieving post graduate degree, I turned one big round and ended up working in a design firm (before I decided to stay home to look after kids).

I fear the danger of me treading my dad's footsteps in over-emphasizing academic success, hence as a mom now, I'd let me kids have more time in areas they are naturally inclined towards.

              Just some self-reflection to share...

I have been sourcing and buying some sand art products for my kids recently. They loved to play with it. Well...I love it too. ๐Ÿ˜‰ So we played together. It was fun!

Then I came across this video clips about sand art when I was surfing the net for sand art information. Wow! The art work presented by the young lady was amazing!

Her name is Kseniya Simonova who is a Ukrainian artist. She was the winner of \"Ukraine Got Talent 2009.\" She used a giant light box, dramatic music, imagination and \"sand painting\" skills to interpret Germany's invasion and occupation of Ukraine during WWII. Awesome presentation...

After watching the clips, my kids were really motivated to do well for their art works. More patience... It has inspired them! ๐Ÿ™‚

I donโ€™t have child, but my sister has. She is good at drawing. I encourage her very much. The talent should be developed from the root. so childhood i the right time to develop this kind of talent.
