Peter said that they came there very often. Is it correct?HAPPYH:
[quote=\"trileets\"]May I know how to convert this to reported speech?
Peter said, \" We come here very often.\"
when DC converted to ,

Hi, new to this thread. How do one improve on Editing & Vocab and Grammar Cloze? My DS seems to have issues in these areas and though his tutor and made him practice and practice, he still doesn’t seem to be able to get them right.
I thought one of his problem could be he did not read the passage carefully, tend to skimmed thru and answer whatever came to his mind, and probably did not check his answers after that.
Any suggestions/comments/ideas? -
@scaredymum
The editing and grammar part is really about reading a lot-at least that’s what my teacher told our class. Anyway, for the grammar part, you can sometimes get clues from the sentence as in whether or not certain words should be in the singular or plural form/past or present tense. You could also get him to remember prepositional phrases which might help in this section. The spelling part I’m not too sure. I guess you could get him to remember the correct spelling of commonly misspelt words. Hope this helps. -
Hi,
I need help on the following questions :
Q1. Stop laughing when you are eating. You may choke on your food.
Unless _________________________________________________ .

Hi. What is the percentage guideline for writing a good compo? My son usually writes a very lengthy introduction, about 30% on building up the tension, 1 or 2 sentences on solution and 1 or 2 sentences on closing. I think his introduction is lor soh and his solution is too short. However, I don't know how to make his compo better. I am more of a Maths person so English is a struggle for me. :?:

For Q4, not too sure as well, but preserve has the meaning of keep things in the same state (original form); hence my answer. -

The answer should be 3 because mother told Tina. Told is past tense therefore the answer should be cleared.
