What are we teaching our child?

By teaching the Right Attitude to our child from young, he will possess a sound Judgement (ability to differentiate what is right or wrong), which is the true Wisdom.
        😄

        Not teach them about gain.

Why is the reason that contribute to a kids in modern society that value money to the extend of severing the ties of kinship? 😢

This is because the parents have not taught the right Attitude to our child.

From birth, the child is is continuously learning judgement from listening & watching from nitty gritty events (the behaviour of the parents) daily.

        http://i37.tinypic.com/jkvls9.png\">

There is an ancient saying: The temperamental at age 80 can be foreseen at 3 years old.

A sound judgement can be taught to a child Before he turns 3 years old as he is continuously absorbing them through sight & hearing.

Research was conducted on 1000 kids who are age 3 in 1980.
        http://i38.tinypic.com/4v5zi9.png\">

Results were released 23 years later reaffirmed that character of adult mimics the behaviour at age 3:

        1) 28% of kids who are Cheeful & Brave grown up to become cheerful, determined, decisive and leadership qualities => Confident

        2) 40% of kids who are Confident & Friendly, grown up to become Calm, Easily Adapt to environment & emotionally Strong=> Adaptable

        3) 8% of the kids who are Reserved & less sociable, grown up to become fearful of being hurt, restrain the emotions & don't influence others= > Reserved

        4) 14% of the kids who are cautious, grown up to become more Disciplined & high self-control abilit => Self-Disciplined

        5) 10% who are Hyperactive or easily distracted or pessimistic, grown up to have hasty temper, easily agitated by petty matters & poor concentration => Restless

          Hi Reiner,

Blossom world (bw) only take in n2 to k2 kids. They don’t accept p1 kids. However you may call up bw, ask to speak to Li Chang. She is a very polite & courteous staff. Ask her - is it possible to consider opening a new class for kids aged 7 to 8 years old? (Ie. p1 and p2 kids)? If yes, that’ll be great!

Hopefully she’ll consider and discuss with her boss, the head of blossom world society. (Male)

FYI - at bw, all dzg learning curriculum material will be given to your child, inside the $60 School fees you’d paid up. $60 is for 12 lessons. Ie 3 months.

In the event the answer is no, you may consider let your child join the p1 to p6 dzg class at Guang ming Shan. You google Internet, look for mainline of Guang ming Shan, and ask "I understand there is a dzg class for p1 to p6 kids. I am interested to join. Can you kindly advise how to let my child join? "

This dzg class at Guang Ming Shan is on Sunday. Can’t recall is it start 9 am or 10am on Sunday morning. But there are so many kids there. When my kid was aged n2 bAck then, I brought her there before. However, they did not separate the n2 from the p1, p2. So she was dwarf by all the big Jie Jie, go go there from p1, p2. So I pulled her out, din continue.

Dzg at Guang ming Shan - they teach kids memorize dzg, with hands on action. It was very interesting & fun to watch, bec first time I saw kids learn dzg thru hands action. The p1 to p6 pupils will rehearse a few times until they get familiar, then they go up the stage to present dzg with hands on action, to the audience seated below the stage (ie. the audience are their parents ) Maybe u bring yr son there one Sunday morning, take a preview first. The dzg classroom is on ground floor, admin block of Guang Ming Shan. The textbook costs ard $15 (Can’t recall exactly). Just purchase 1 copy will do.

          FYI -
Parents with secondary 1 to jc2 / polytechnic / nus, ntu, sim children -
At night on weekdays around 7.15 pm, there is also dzg class conducted at Guang Ming Shan. It is called dzg "Lun Yu" Confucius classics. They go in depth. Sch fees are also v reasonable. Those interested can ring up Guang min Shan to inquire.

besides BW, Guang Ming Shan, some community centres (turn to page 9, of this thread for cc), another place that teach DZG is Yuquan.

Yuquan DZG start from K1 onwards. (not N2, too young)
you may click video below, to watch.
Then give Yuquan a call, to inquire cost fees :-

              http://www.yuquan.com.sg/course_recitation.php

Yuquan also teach San Zi Jing, and Bai Jia Xing.
All start from K1 and above.

sorry, I never heard of \"jing zhong\". Not sue what is it ?

When a kid performs a task, what is the source of motivation?

Is it When your PARENTS call you, Answer them right away?
Or Is it When the Sweets call you, Answer them right away?
                http://i36.tinypic.com/33ms7et.png\">

Is it When your PARENTS call you, Answer them right away?
Or Is it When the 2 Dollars Notes call you, Answer them right away?

When the child is obedient, WHO is he listening to?

The result may be the same, however we need to evaluate whether we are teaching the right mindset (Compassionate, Respectful, Judgement) to our child.

                    You're welcome, John 😄

For blossom world society, I like dzg class on Sunday 10 am because the class is small & cater only pre-school kids so far, ie. (n2 to k2). As to future whether they take in p1, p2 - that I am not sure. Once reach maximum size 16 kids, bw won't take in anymore. The number 17th kid onwards will be placed on waiting list, until some child from within the 16 kids class happen to drop out half way. Either this or bw decide to form another new class of another fresh new 16 kids.

For Guang Ming Shan, the dzg class cater from (n2 to p6) on Sunday morning. Thus, there are many children. As to whether they break up into different age group according to levels (p1 to p6) and then different level enter different classroom to learn, that - I am not sure. Is best to call up their main line, check with their dzg course co-ordinator.
