    • RE: Childcare or no Childcare?

      schellen:
You should try sending them half day first if you or them don't feel that secure. Then increase to full day. Cos otherwise when they go to pri sch, it will be a big shock to them. Academically, they may cope but mentally, maybe not immediate and this may affect them academically too.

Yes, I completely agree with you.

    • RE: How old to give proper furniture to kid?

It depends on the nature of your son. If he is extremely naughty then you have to wait and when he will be of 5 years or more when he will start to study sincerely then only give. Otherwise you can give it at the age of 4 also. Don't keep any baby%20toys in his room otherwise he will start playing with those.

    • RE: Is this behaviour of teacher acceptable?

Not acceptable at all. At school children are the responsibility of teachers. Parents send their children to school believing on teachers that they will take care of their children. He can scold him or can advice him to be attentive in class but he should not behave like this. You should take some action against him. Because for parents their child safety is most important.

    • RE: How to train DD to be gentle?

This is happening as your child is now staying at home, So when she will join school and come in contact with some other children, automatically she will change her behavior and style herself. So, don't worry about it. So, now you just spend more time with her, play with her baby toys, baby items and let her enjoy and you also enjoy her childhood.

    • RE: Any good playgroups for 18 months old in Fernvale/Sengkang

I think you should send your child once after he will become 2 years old.

    • RE: any food to help child improve brain-power and be focused?

Food is important for child but along with that parental guidance is also necessary. I think you should take care of her study. Check whether she is doing her homework and understanding everything properly or not. If not then you should give some time to teach her.

    • RE: All About Teaching Values

      super_dad:
Lesson number 1: sell him to a poor family. He will learn lots of values very quickly.

Selling a child to another family just to learn values quickly, itself is not a good value. If a child will live in a good environment with its parents then also it can learn good values.

    • RE: All About Handwriting

I think she just need practice. Tell her to write at least two pages regularly on handwriting note books. You will definitely mark improvement in her handwriting.

    • RE: How to get my 4years old son to be more focus

As he is of only 4 years old so, try to be friendly with him. If you want to make him read properly then you will also have to read with him. Draw pictures with him and also play with him. Then only he will follow your instructions :rahrah: .
