could you enlighten me in this?

I have 2 schools in mind,Nanyang and BPP.
As i am going via phase 2B, should i register with Nanyang first on day 1 or shall i wait till day 2?

I stay outside 2km of Nanyang primary and i do not want to waste my chance for phase 2B.
Base on past year, phase 2B >2km has no chance at all. If I am you, I will register at BPP first to secure a place first. Unless as PV yourself, you are aware that there are many PRs PV in NYPS, then you may stand a chance.

Seems like the nos for phase 1 n 2A1 for SCGS increased this year. How man like that? Only crumbs left by the time it reaches phase 2c.:(

      Well, let see the crumbs.

50-50 sharing of crumbs for phase2b and 2c. Efforts (pv or grl) all goes to waste if didn't get a place will feel worse than phase 2c parents.

Appreciate some advise between NanHua PS and Nanyang PS, both scored equally good on academics but hope to hear more feedback.

My home distance to NHPS is within 1km whereas abt 4km to NYPS but we will send/fetch our child to school daily. Thanks.

If you are fetching your child, Go for Nanyang.. But Nanyang is a very highly sought after school unless one of the parent was x student or PV.. If you go for 2C, my guess is no chance at all because you are 4 km to the school. Hope my 5 cent advise help. Go read up the parent network forum for the 2 schools to know more about the schools.

Needless to say, go for Nanyang! (if u have good chance to get in).

      Hi everyone,

My son is a PR from China. Our home is near both the Potong Pasir and Woodleigh MRT stations. We are looking for a school providing higher Chinese lesson or more Chinese oriented. Due to the new registration rule, our choice is very limited. We don't anticipate to get seat from those TOP school like Pei Chun. Are there any schools recommended? Thanks in advance!
My kid can get into Pei Chun easily as my hubby was ex school boy but due to distance so not applying so one more seat saved for later phase.

For phase 1, usually most of the applicants will apply on 1st day right and Day 2 shouldn’t have too many applicants correct?

Another reason to buy an iPhone or iPod 😉

Unfortunately my next change would likely be a Samsung.

I have also abandon iPhone and use Samsung now. Get bored with 'I' already. But my parents and their mahjong 'karkee' are using iPhone as it is easier to use. Younger ones and the more IT savvy folks will definitely like Samsung. Those who like big screen will like Samsung too.... So shiok' to watch movie using Samsung! I love Samsung and I am glad there is comparable product to iPhone and is made by the Asians!

    • RE: All About Home Addresses

If my kid already get into the same school successfully I will not report the case. Just like illegal parking, as long as the cars dont get my way I will not complain to LTA. Kids are innocent so very poor thing also if they get expelled …

    • RE: Child's Position in P1 Class

I am neutral. If the school has ranking system then this is what it is. By all means we can complain and pull supports to disagree with the system. Parents whose kids have good results or kids that at this moment don’t do well but can be pushed to excelerate and be in the frontier later, they would not mind having ranking system. Parents who have kids struggling and at the bottom may not want to be ranked as it doesn’t do good to the kids. My kids are normal , not the extreme bright ones and not the struggling type, so I am fine if the school wants or does not want to rank the students in class. Whatever the school does, just make sure every kid can enjoy school and not let positioning or intense competition to make them feel miserable.
